6 628 Yes, Six thousand six hundred and twenty eight attended Derwent Park yesterday evening.

 

Need to tap into that figure to watch the Comets as it is better value for money than watching that Mickey Mouse Sport they went to last night.

Just shows how speedway has gone backwards over the years, in the 60's and 70's speedway was Britain's 2nd largest attended sport only being surpassed by football, and now we have tracks struggling to get 600/800 through the turnstiles to make ends meet.

so what happened to the other 1372

as it was reprted as sell out a week or so ago

if im not wrong they have a 8000 capacity for rugby

which is still loads more than the majority of sports in this country , how many people attend tennis , cricket athletics on a weekly basis ?

Slightly spurious argument though as there is far more other attractions now that back in the day.

Check the 3 pointers in this list, if there is no such thing as a 3 pointer

Mitchell Davey is a 3 pointer (i'm sure rules said anyone who previously never got above 3 can go as low as 2) Davey was previously over 3 so would come in on a 3 point average!
