Hunters
Glad to see Mattie is Ok, hope there are no after effects. JPB strengthens the side and we have a good chance of winning a really tight match. What can we do about Charley? I believe you can only replace a reserve with an unattached 3 pointer. It would make sense to go with 6 riders and forfeit one ride in heat two whilst giving Tom Brennan 7 rides.
Heathen1984
You cant av six riders and then give Brennan 3 of the rides
mrscambelt
What can i say about Mildenhall and Eastbourne. only one rider turned up and thats the same one that has top scored in the last 4 meetings and thats Tom Brennan. dissapointed with the performance of Baseby, Dugard, Wood. I think that Eastbourne must be looking around and thinking what did they do wrong after plymouth? Maybe a little bit of investigation needed into equipment and effort. Martin Dugard is ment to be one of the better ex riders putting his thoughts out there and helping riders, was he at Mildenhall, Connor Dugard has built a poor side there is nobody to cover for anyone else, Kelsey Dugard is no where to be seen as they said in the report in the shadows, you have to be close to everyone to be in a shadow. hope they get it sorted by the weekend or cradley will pull Eastbournes pants down. gazzac
Apart from Tom Brennen the only other positive was it was a Trophy match and not a league one. The top end will have to up their game Saturday against Cradley, otherwise a first home league defeat will happen.
Heathen1984
How Cradley rode last meeting it wont be a first home defeat for u. We can only get better from our last meeting thou.
mrscambelt
Eastbourne were no better in the last meeting so it should be a good head to head at this rate.
Moleman27
Mildenhall where just too impressive at home, don't read too much into the result as Mildenhall wont be beaten at home this season. Hackett
Bad day at the office for the Eagles .... the @ITFirstEagles twitter feed stated that they had 3 blown engines and were riding on used tyres as there was no spares van at Mildenhall. This was followed by another tweet stating that they had bought a number of tyres from a spares company so not to get caught out again. It is early in the season so no need to panic just yet; but it would be a concern that Tom Brennan is top scorer each meeting and the heat leaders are struggling against opposition no.1 + no.5's hopefully get back into the groove at Arlington on Saturday. Speedway28
What's happened to Kelsey Dugard? Looked promising when he first started but just looks like he's going backwards now. The used tyre didn't seem to affect Brennan that much!
Moleman27
Obviously Tom is a great talent, but you do have to remember he is on a Gerhard engine and so has probably that best bikes out of anyone else in the team. gee jay
a gerhard engine can contribute to what tom is doing it's got nothing to do with why the rest of the team were poor though. eastbourne seem to have one hammering each year but it's worrying that it's happened this early and to one of the fancied teams not to one of the struggling sides as in previous years. cradley who many think are quite a bit stronger than the last 2 seasons and haven't exactly given the eagles an easy time at arlington will be a real danger on the weekend . another team performance like sunday and then there might be a few feathers flying so to speak. ruckerroo
I think you could put it down to a bad day at the office. Mildy look terrific esp at home. On another day it could have been 50-40 and a good effort. No panic just yet
teaboy279
Also sound like Mildenhall did some great team riding again. Danny Halsey and Armo pulled off some great team rides against Kent. Sounds like Ayres did some good team racing too, when you get good team riding even the very best struggle to pass.
Speedway28
Ruddick won both of his races fairly comfortably. Ayres did help but he was quite far ahead. Armstrong did well with Verge a couple of times.
ChaosTheory22
What's happened to Kelsey Dugard? Looked promising when he first started but just looks like he's going backwards now. The used tyre didn't seem to affect Brennan that much! Kelsey has a broken scaphoid probs done at Plymouth? Tom Brennan had a new tyre Bad day away for Eastbourne, Mildenhall always good at home (impressive side this year) diabolical track as always
greyhoundp
So it seems many things contributed to Eastys woes at Mildy, however the fact remains for young Brennan to score almost half the total points must be worrying, given that Mildy are on a high at the moment its a long season, and things are going there way especially with there choice of guests, as for Cradley the other thing Easty need to remember is our top 2 riders are not known for their gating prowess. Heathen1984
That strengthens eastie then with brennan taking more rides
gazzac
That strengthens eastie then with brennan taking more rides Maybe, but no room for error or engine failures and puts more pressure on the whole team. Also Kelsey is normally pretty good around Arlington. Edited April 25, 2017 by gazzac
Heathen1984
Yeh maybe ur right but think makes u much stronger with brennan taking most the rides, think that as tipped it for an eastie win.
TurnTwo
It would appear that Mildenhall were better but were they all on better tyres? Is there such a difference in the red and yellow tyres? There must be if Eastbourne have just bought 80!!
