Guest
Like many London area speedway followers I sincerely hope the Lakeside Hammers will be on parade for the 2017 season even at National League level. But what puzzles me is what day will be they race on bearing in mind that two stock car promotions hold fairly regular weekend meetings - on some Saturday evenings and alternate Sundays? How much longer till we hear something positive from the promotion ?? From what I understand a statement will NOT be made until after the National League meeting of promoters is held later this month.
cityrebel
With rye house, Eastbourne and the Gp's running on most saturdays, I would imagine their options are somewhat limited.

Islander15
With only 11 or 12 home meetings, plus the odd KOC if they progress, wouldn't a smaller number of fixtures than previous EL campaigns make Saturday racing viable? Ommer Mon
Welcome aboard to the Hammers (subject to approval of course). The National League certainly seems to be the place to be lately. I've certainly enjoyed our involvement since 2010 and the presence of Teams like Lakeside, Birmingham, Eastbourne, Belle Vue, Coventry and Kings Lynn adds to the rivalry. Yes, Ommer Mon, NL is undoubtedly the place to be and I eagerly await some Hitmen v Hammers clashes.

blueherb777
Be surprised if Ben Morley is not one of Lakesides first signings.

Well we don't know until Tues, but most clubs seem to think it'll stop at 40. No way can I see it dropping below 38.

Think any promotion would be mad to sign Kingston though given his approach to this season.
Islander15
Don't think Drew Kemp is 15 until next season,Hopefully he'll get a shot in 2018 at the Raceway then. Would be great to see Morley & Verge get team places at Lakeside ditto Hazelden providing his leg is healing nicely. Think any promotion would be mad to sign Kingston though given his approach to this season. Kingston's a Lakeside asset though so it might be his last chance at the sport, given his questionable commitment. waco
What average would Rob Mear come in on?..Kingston would be very risky given his recent commitment problem Wajtknecht and Hazelden yes ,,Morley no brainer considering his popularity and form round here at a higher level,,... Sings4Speedway
I suspect Rob would come in on a higher average than Ben? His Elite ave was 3.65 x 1.4 for a PL ave = 5.11 x 2 for NL average puts him at 10.22 if i understand the rules (and im not sure anyone really does). For me i can't see Mear representing great value on a 10+ average as its no secret he favours top flight or nothing. Also can't see Morley, Waj & Mear fitting into the same side and i would expect the first 2 to be nailed on. I think the Kingston boat has sailed for him. There is a lot more required to become a successful speedway rider than some raw natural talent.
