Flappy
Bike problems two weeks on the trot now - that isn't good enough at this level. Can't gate for love nor money either it seems. He hasn't done masses wrong but it's a numbers game so he might have to be the one sacrificed to strengthen the team overall. I'm hoping he comes good as he can be brilliant to watch at the OTA. Different bikes to the ones he uses for Peterborough? At the same time he's having bike problems for somerset, he's top scoring for Peterborough at Sheffield
SteveLyric2
Starkey's not the only rider scoring well in the SGBC but not doing so well in the SGBP!!
The Cheese
I think the Rebels have done ok so far, the only thing missing has been a regular 8 or 9 at the top. Josh, Pat, Charles , Jake and also Jan have all done all right imo. Paul has been unlucky at the moment and also an injury. Obviously it's Rohan where the probs are at the moment. Can't think of anyone immediately to come in tbh. Agree with that. With Tungate and to a lesser extent Starke struggling and scoring less than expected it kind of justifies the team selected. Just a few more points each which you'd expect at home and you'd have a comfortable victory against Poole and wins against a fancied Kings Lynn and a Swindon side with 4 ex-Rebels and a track specialist in Bellego. Obviously you have to judge the team on results and not what ifs but I think they deserve another meeting or two to get things sorted. oldtimer
No surprise that changes would be made when new averages come in. In the Star Gary says a need for a big hitter with permutations already being considered. I agree with Gary's final point, when talking about Kurtz last minute absence, "It will be an amateur sport soon if we don't sort things out, the paying public will go home wondering what is the point if riders are going to be taken away. Agreed, spent the trip over from Newport telling my brother who only goes to Cardiff (beacause the family all go) that Brady was riding and he'd be a fool to miss him around the oak tree...... had to buy a lot of beers in return

I a lowly "keyboard warrior" posted on this very forum over 24 hours before the meeting as soon as I saw the line up that he was an illegal guest. It's ok the clubs complaining its "amateur" but they ARE the BSPA and they ARE the ones making the amateur decisions.
LisaColette
all I did originally was ask are they worried about Kurtzs form. I.e wins it last year and 7th this year. It's a question that can be debated yet for whatever reason they can't do it!Hilarious reading this back now! *Do not use Aussie championships as a guide*
keef robin
Hilarious reading this back now! *Do not use Aussie championships as a guide* You certainly can't, my bruv was at Gillman, and said Watt (now quit)and Sedgy were the fastest. Now Morra is top boy in the Premier. Batch and Kurtz aren't far behind. Zengota won the rider of the year award at Swindon not long ago, very committed rider, shame he couldn't return because of his average. An excellent rider and team man. They were unfortunate against Swindon, the 2 efs probably cost them a win on that fantastic night of racing and the superb last heat by Bellego, Doyley, Josh G. Falcon Hammer
Problem is mate, we are one step away from 2 premier leagues/championships Expect that will happen next year Starry: With no Sky money next year & BT not making any payments, reckon it will be 2 Premier Leagues, North & South + NL, or one PL & NL of similar sizes

Najjer
Weird that Starke is doing so well for Peterborough. Terrible. More bike troubles again packing up in heat 1, never looked like being in contention after that.

RebelDan
Weird that Starke is doing so well for Peterborough. We lost by 5 last nignt and in the 3 heats Starke and Tungate rode together we conceded -10 points (4 to Wolves 14) . Everyone is doing there job at the mo apart from those two
SomersetBlue
Starke is now bottom of the averages on 4.00 that is a drop of 2.62 and Tungate a drop of 3.89. Changes need to happen by Monday otherwise there is no chance of getting a proper number

Changes need to happen by Monday otherwise there is no chance of getting a proper number 1 I get the feeling it will be left that Hougaard will be our number 1 for the remainder of the season (or Josh averages depending) and that we will use whatever points are available after our final meeting away to Wolves Monday to replace Starke with. I hope we get a thrashing to allow us extra points to play with as we are only about 2 points under the limit at the moment, so not exactly season changing just yet. Surely it's Graversen you drop allowing Starke to drop to reserve where he should pick up. Graversen is as good as he's ever gong to get right now. Starke and Tungate in reserve with a 5-6 pointer at number 2 or 4 replacing Graversen would be pretty tidy. Lewis Bridger wouldn't be a bad signing at all if it's true that Championship riders will have their averages divided by 1.4 when changing leagues.
