Somerset 2017

Recommended Posts

That was in the PL which was weaker.

Look at the difference in these two teams and you will see what we mean:

Kaspazak, Newman, J Holder, B Kurtz, Andersen, Klindt, Shanes

VS

Tungate, Starke, Hougaard, Wright, Josh.G, Allen, Graversen

Kasprzak vs Tungate Kasprzak fair enough

Newman vs Starke Starke Newman injury prone

Kurtz vs Grajczonek Grajczonek

Holder vs Wright Holder

Andersen vs Hougaard Hougaard

Klindt vs Allen Allen better prospect

Shanes vs Graversen future Shanes but atm Graversen

I'm gutted not to see Paddy back in Lions Kevlars next season. You boys have got a quality rider their. He did a decent enough job as a number 1 all season long (against expectations) for the Lions in the stronger elite league last season and believe he'll do an excellent job as a heat leader for yourselves. Personally, don't think the team is as weak as everyone is making out, but I doubt you'll be challenging for silverware

Don't care what supporters of other clubs say, we are Rebels and we will stand by our side, peopl took us lightly last season and look what happened.

Good for you, well said. From the outside looking in I'm not going to pretend that it's a line-up to strike fear into the rest of the league, but keeping together the bulk of the team that did so well last season will surely help with togetherness and confidence. My reservation would be the potential damage to that confidence from facing what looks a strong Poole side early on, but if Somerset could at least win the home fixture that would be a good foundation on which to build.

I admire the Rebels for stepping up to the top flight, even in its current diluted form. Hope you can make a go of it.

No please go ahead and mock a wheel hasn't even been turned yet Kasprzak aside the teams are very similar imo Andersen going backwards Holder, Kurtz and Newman all got beat by Wright, Starke and Grajczonek last season. Allen is better than Klindt trust me and Graversen vs Shanes could go either way.

Haha i'm going to love us shutting a lot of you up next season especially Poole. What gives you the right to downgrade us before a wheel has even turned?

I don't know, maybe the fact we're on a discussion forum for speedway so we're discussing speedway. Shocking I know!

Hate to tell you this but Poole should wie te floor with this Somerset side. 60+ at Wimborne Road. Where are the heat winners going to come from?

At Somerset obviously closer but no one to touch KK and the rest should enjoy the open spaces of the track, which they know well. One thing for sure. Two very big crowds.

I do wish Gary May all the best but he will have his work cut out to avid humiliating thrashings on the road.

If you want to believe that then fine. Think you will discover pretty quickly Poole on paper and on track are a far superior team. Struggling to see where Somerset will get heat advantages.
