Shadders
Going into a meaningless meeting without arguably your top two would've made it commercially unviable for the Rye House promotion, despite the few Coventry fans that would've made the journey down. It's not affecting me now, but the gap between meetings is becoming a joke. Rockets fans have become used to a regular Saturday evening fix. I know there have been rumblings of discontent regarding this. Edited June 21, 2017 by Shads
hammer1969
Eight weeks between our last Saturday night meeting and the next one, with one home meeting on a Wednesday in between against Belle Vue that possibly a lot of regular fans probably couldn't attend due to work etc. What about the Coventry fans who were coming down on Sunday by coach I just hope they don't end up being out of pocket as presumably the coach company required a deposit. What a shambles no wonder us fans are cheesed off. I doubt this challenge match will be rescheduled and if it is will Coventry bother to book a coach and will Rye fans bother to turn up - I doubt it. However, when did Bomber sign for Peterborough? When did Eddie commit to the long track meeting? These things didn't just happen. Â Please, plan a replacement date. Â You can't fault the current promotion for ambition and preparedness to fund that ambition but I do wonder about their actual understanding of the sport. I know one of them had a friend worried when they had to have team riding explained to them. Â The sad truth is that Saturdays and 'top flight' speedway in Britain just don't work anymore. Poor phrasing by me, I meant the Rockets fans as a whole, rather more important than your own situation and needs. I may pop along to a few meetings, purely as a neutral. Once a Rocket always a Rocket

Rayleigh
Is this right? our new team average is 38.07, if so then replacing Branford would give us 7.08 to play with thus allowing us a pretty decent Championship rider and push Robbo to reserve. That would change things significantly
iand
Ben Barker replaces Ricky Wells tonight at Belle Vue. Would he fit average wise? Not everyone's favourite but will the promotion make a change.

phillipsr
How would you line up with Average changes would you swap Ricky to 2?? Â Harris Wells Robson Kennett Nicholls Branford Perks
Robbobee
I think you will find the 38.07 figure you mention is wrong- looks like it is added up incorrectly ? Should be 41.22 ? Â Therefore only 0.78 to play with in replacing a rider ..... Â Cheers
Rayleigh
Thanks for that Robbobee, it looks like Diane Abbott was on the calculator again.
