Shadders
David Biles, Marcus Bisson, Kevin Smith, Ray Dole, Stan Bear, Martin Yeates, Dave Gibbs. Yates & Smiith definitely ring a bell.
Steve Shovlar
Yates & Smiith definitely ring a bell. David Biles had a 9 average then retired. Was quite young.
Shadders
David Biles had a 9 average then retired. Was quite young. Seem to recall Karl Fiala on a similar average when he retired in the early 80's in his mid 20's
Beowulf
What a marker it will lay down when we hammer the defending champs aswell 😂😀 Hail to the new/next Shovlar. He resides in Rye House !
Gemini
Seem to recall Karl Fiala on a similar average when he retired in the early 80's in his mid 20's I didn't realise that Karl retired that young. Was it a bad injury or another reason? I suppose I could ask him on Facebook if you don't know as he is very active on there.

Think it was work related.
GWC
Heard him interviewed at Rye a few years back. Don't think it was injury. Think it was work related. Retired due to work - had a good job at British Oxygen and put this before a racing career. He would have been the leagues top rider if he had continued - to think that they lost Fiala Garrad Smith and Pullen in one go was a blow for the club, but Lens view was young riders should move up to the higher league ,plus a fee of course!

Beowulf
Calm dowm it was a joke hence the smiley face  Joke accepted. Now joking apart....................................................................I expect Wolves toughest 2 home matches to be against the Rockets. Harris and Nicholls are track specialists. At the last talk-in, CVS said by not signing them he still had his favourite guests available when needed. Robson has been a thorn in our side when riding for Coventry, Newcastle and Monmore are very similar. Watt and Kennett have had their moments also, although Kennett's moment's have reduced somewhat since his, uh, mechanical problems were revealed. Should be very close for both matches. Shadders
Where is Sadders? surely not gone uuuuup north already  Meant to read Shadders, fatty fingers strikes again. I'm still here pal. Not much to say really. Team line up settled early, not much news coming out from the promotion, so nothing to really comment on. Been reading some of the bolloxios on the other Prem teams threads, with the usual suspects bickering and point scoring, so I've not really been bothering with the BSF. Thank the lord we have a better class of supporter at Rye. I'm still waiting to read when press & practice is, so I can book a day off work. By the way. There is life north of Watford Gap. They do have the internet up there 😎 Edited February 3, 2017 by Shads

Shadders
Good to hear you are well, hope to bump into you on some of the away trips if you cant make the River Lea picnic area in the future I'll probably still be around in early April, so will make the first home meeting at least. The Celebration of Speedway at Paradise Wildlife Park is also a must visit
Starman2006
Yates & Smiith definitely ring a bell. Kevin retired far to young, and he freely admits it..
Rteyp
Hi All  Took the dog for a walk yesterday along the Lea and around the Rye House, so thought it rude not to have a quick nose.  Walking in from the car park you'd be hard pushed to notice any change, car park still resembles the surface of the moon, ticket office is still there. However a quick peek through the main gate you can see plenty of progress. The long-bar bike shop is taking shape and a digger was demolishing the wooden stand . Very muddy and plenty of plant there.  Long way to go. Not surprised car park left until last as all the plant going back n forth... but overall progress !
