stevethelion
Nicolai Klindt on 5.42! That was my immediate thought but after reading questions that people had asked the SGB on twitter, if a rider as an average for both leagues, they use the average for the league they are going to be riding in so Klindt would be 6.36 x1.4 =8.90 which doesn't make him so attractive to a top- flight team. stevethelion
but he had a premier average in 2016 so he'd use that That was my first thought, but if you go on the SGB twitter page, someone asked the question about riders with averages for both leagues ( even mentioning Klindt's name) the answer given by the SGB was "the average for the relevant league for riders with 2 averages", so if I'm reading it right, Klindt , if riding in the top-flight would have to use his average he got for Leicester 6.36 x 1.4, if he just rode in the championship he would use his old premier league average of 5.42. But don't ask me what he uses if he doubles up!!! I must learn to read the question right. Someone asked what average would be used for team changes during the season not team building. So Klindt would be a steal on 5.42. Edited November 3, 2016 by stevethelion

If a rider rides in both leagues he converts his premier average. The 1.4 multiplication is for riders who SOLELY ride elite
Jonny the spud
So as Adam rode EL and NL does that mean it doesn't apply ??? Nope, fraid not. No help apparently for this years EDR's he's stuck with his avarage.

The 1.4 multiplication is for riders who SOLELY ride elite thats the way i understand it , i would think he either end up lynn poole or wolves on his prem average ,anybody else elite average

The teams in both divisions are going to be made up using PL averages from 2016. If a rider only has an EL figure that will be multiplied by 1.4, so for example, Jason Doyle will start on a 13.42 average, even though he obviously won't be able to live up to it. proud panther
Adam Ellis getting stitched up with a high Premiership average is disgusting in my opinion. Thought we were supposed to be helping young Brits ?

Thought we were supposed to be helping young Brits ? why is it disgusting , he should have rode premier , instead of riding in n.l for £10 a point

tellboy
Adam Ellis getting stitched up with a high Premiership average is disgusting in my opinion. Thought we were supposed to be helping young Brits ? Think a 7.5 average would be fine for Ellis, considering the likes of Jacobs 5.36,Wright 6.59,Starke 6.62,Rose 5.86 would come in on the stated averages. He is better than those mentioned and he isn't quite as good as S.Worrall 8.51,Lambert 8.76. No help apparently for this years EDR's he's stuck with his avarage. Tbf he'll be fine. He rode most of the season 2nd string, so his El average is not inflated. HE'LL be on a lower average than say r worrall, but is a better prospect. Of the edr, only Newman seems to have a bargain average...
Phil The Ace
why is it disgusting , he should have rode premier , instead of riding in n.l for £10 a point I bet it wasn't £10 a point. Probably add another 0 to that
waiheke1
If that is the case, then a team building limit of 50 is horrendously low. Tbh it's not too bad, though it will mean a weaker top flight. You could take this year's Robins and swap out tungate and sedegeman for 2 three pointers. ACTUALLY, that is quite weak! morris is good value though.

Woz01
Bates is a cracking bargain at 5.02, his EL average was 4.76. Coventry must sign him asap.

Teromaafan
Like the new attempt to supposedly simplify and level averages which the sport is obsessed with. The EL converter though puts Doyle on nearly 13.5 points per meeting. To my knowledge the CMA has always been based on points per ride (with or without bonus points) multiplied by 4. JD's position therefore seems a bit like a goalkeeper averaging less than nil goals conceded per game! So is this just purely for initial team building and a new average will be come into play after say 6 meetings ( with the team building average discarded), or are we still looking at rolling averages where these initial figures would come into effect?
