Phil The Ace
If that's the case I can see Poole lining up, something along the lines: 1. Chris Holder 8.58 2. Antonio Lindback 7.00 3. Piotr Pawlicki 7.00 4. Emil Sayfutdinov 7.00 5. Martin Vaculik 7.00 6. Chris Harris 6.62 7. Kyle Newman 3.79 Not when they will be putting a % on the riders average so holder would be something like 13 point average
hyabb17
In fairness this is all hear say at the moment. A big 3 days to sort the mess out. Hopefully common sense prevails,

A ORLOV
The first major decision will be what type of biscuits they go and get for the tea break, that will take all this morning
The Voice Of Reason
The first major decision will be what type of biscuits they go and get for the tea break, that will take all this morning Imagining how Poole probably like to run the show, I'd guess it will be Blue Riband and Ginger Nuts.

Gavan
Says who? You decide the averages do you you? A mockery? This sport has been a mockery for years with false starting averages that probably stems back to the actual team you support signing World No 2 Tomasz Gollob on a 7.50 when he was a 9.50 average rider which already had world class riders in like Tony Rickardsson, Chris Louis and Scott Nicholls in. Alright for one but not the other I suppose. There is a rulebook I believe. No i dont decide the averages but if you think its ok for a rider who averages 5.60 (with a large chunk as second string), is clearly improving, to drop down to ride in a reserve berth on a 3 then i worry for the sport if that happens And yes as ive stated many times Gollobs average was farcical back then. I can admit that as i see the bigger picture. Nicholls wasnt world class at that point but a good improving rider.
Woz01
I guess with no EL for Lakeside that Jonsson and Kim Nilsson will be sought after.
Ben91
Woffinden is an exception as he was riding in Poland before riding for Wolves so the doors were open to him very early. Not many, if any Brits get that kind of luck at 18/19 yrs old He got asked to go and ride over there because he was already good enough. That's skill, not luck. szkocjasid
What a load of tosh as he would've now got experience on all the Elite league tracks & will improve for sure. He will be in high demand for sure if Poole don't use him. A team like Leicester who can't sign top riders could go with someone like Kurtz on 6.44, because they need strength in depth! hagonshocker
Morris is a massively underrated rider. He was easily our best rider in 2015 and did more than enough in 2016 to justify a team place next season. Massively underrated? In what way? MattK
Massively underrated? In what way? This thread as an example. Apparently Brady Kurtz will be "in demand" despite having an average of 6.44 gained mainly from riding as a secondstring, Morris on the other hand doesn't get a mention even though his average is similar (6.41), but it was gained from riding mainly as a heat leader. Morris isn't without his faults, but he has more than held his own riding in the difficult third heatleader role for the last two years and to that end tends to have his achievements overlooked in my opinion. waiheke1
If they adopt scbs weighted average approach, it will illustrate that morris had a solid season, though the issue was that swindon needed him to be a genuine 2nd hl and he was more a solid 3rd hl. If, as is likely, they don't adopt such a sensible approach, then agree he is a bargain compared with kurtz. Disagree with an earlier post that said he had outperformed lambert. How does that mean he IS underrated? Apart from a spell last season he has been a steady If rather erratic performer who has a lot of ability but if we're honest for one reason or another he hasn't kicked on, he's done ok and is always worth a shout for sides in the EL but as far as Nick it is what it is.As for comparing to Kurtz Nick has had far more experience EL so how can he ever be of better value as I believe there is a lot more to come from Brady but in a strange way they are both a risk on similar averages but it seems many are writing off Kurtz after one season

I don't think Ellis is over a 5.5 average in my opinion. What would be interesting is what would Ellis average be if he doubled up with Lakeside if they went Premier League and Poole in the Elite. To be honest, I think the sport has more to be worry about than Adam Ellis on a 3 average but I think a 4 is sensible. Was your 5.6 average etc with British reduction or have I missed that rule being scrapped as well.
Hackett
Adam Ellis was excellent for Poole and was good enough to keep a former GP rider at reserve. At Eastbourne it was like taking a Uzi to a duck hunt. He was superb all season. Although he has an average that is traditionally difficult to fit into an Elite team. Should he choose he could easily do a job at Premier League or whatever it will be called in 2017 James Shanes looks a good prospect for the EL reserve or PL. Has improved in the two season I have seen him race and if he can get a reserve berth and a racing track as he rarely gates he could be decent. With guidance could be a good rider.
