acclennell
Gave the impression earlier this year that you would attend if we got a better team. That happened, and you started to support the team but didn't say you hadn't come back. Now with the recent misfortunes, you show your hand again as being just an armchair critic and not worth bothering with. Why should anybody want to keep you happy unless it for for YOU to wind your neck in. I have been every week in the past with worse teams and I was still attending NUFC games the last few seasons watching poor teams so that is a load of rubbish - I don't go back as the rules are so backward and change for the worse each year and I highlighted one of these earlier. I have not been critical much this year even after the Sheffield performance so again you're talking rubbish. Tonight was a pathetic performance and that is a true assessment and if you don't like that then tough but to get your dummy out when I am just given an honest assessment on tonight is a bit rich. If you don't like what I say fair enough don't reply back.
TheScotsman
Well done Weegies. Can only beat what's in front of you but it looks like the Geordies have flattered to deceive.

bri1966
Well done Glasgow .Disappointing end to the season for Diamonds .Even though Ash has done his job for us ,the loss of Lewis Rose has hurt us and the Blonde Bombshells form has been poor since he beat Cookie .Its been a pleasure watching Lambert this season and the rest of the lads .Thanks
Fromafar
Congrats to Glasgow,Promotion deserve something for the effort they have put into the Stadium and the way they promote the club in the media.Lambert apart Newcastle were poor.Morris might have been feeling the effects of the crash when Danny took him off though.

mauger65
Just got back after a hugely disappointing display by Newcastle Firstly congratulations to Glasgow, they thoroughly deserved their victory ........... rode much over the 2 legs and most significantly they rode as team with I believe all 7 positions winning ride. well done guys as for Newcastle - well after last night... the promised fight was sadly lacking..... apart from lambert who was superb despite only making the gate once..... and morris who must have been beat up..... it was a desperately poor showing ..... and again a 4 man team with Victor and Danny doing nowt (Danny's points were gifts from the tigers reserves) the meeting was effectively over by heat 5 with it being 20-10 ............. the final thrashing was more a reflection of pumped up winners outgating a deflated bunch as we lost the last 4 heats 19-5 and as for Newcastle being built for the playoffs, they were poor v Sheffield ... made heavy weather of Rye House and well beaten by Glasgow..... we were founding wanting at the business end and the pressure told on several of our riders .... who crumpled. A winter of much reflection for us..... Well done Glasgow, would have been a travesty if you hadn't won anything, hope you all had a good celebration ........... roll on 2017
tyretrax
Exactly the reason I don't attend and won't either - wind your neck in or are you saying to me tonight's performance was good! If you don't attend you're not a supporter, so you wind your neck in. The Newcastle riders were not disgraced tonight and put up a fight which is more than we can say for you.

New era Panthers
Exactly the reason I don't attend and won't either - wind your neck in or are you saying to me tonight's performance was good! It's hardly fair of you being critical of a team you don't go and support , i'm sure Newcastle did not go into the ko cup final with the intention of losing , sometimes you just have to say we did our best but it wasn't good enough and take it on the chin whilst giving the opposition the credit they deserve for being the better team .

KEITH M
and as for Newcastle being built for the playoffs, ... made heavy weather of Rye House and well beaten by Glasgow. ???Glasgow officially won the cup after heat 12 of the 2nd leg .. We had qualified for final after heat 13 of 2nd leg against Rye House... Your a hard man to please Edited October 25, 2016 by KEITH M
mauger65
Keith - good use of stats ! but sadly missing the point Glasgow and Newcastle are two finely matched good teams Rye House aren't ... look at the league table Pre October - we would have won comfortably and read George's column he concedes Rye House kept it competitive......... I was merely making the point we went off the boil in October ........ that's fact .... look at the scores........ or should that be a

Joseq7
And back to the actual meeting..... Fantastic entertainment. Best meeting I've seen at Ashfield in years. Smooth fast track with lots of thrills and spills. FTG very infrequent, for a change. I don't know if it was track prep or an evening meeting that made the difference to the racing. I must mention Robert Lambert, boy is he exciting to watch. So brave and so fast.
