Gazc
Sorry but I disagree. We've been beaten by two teams that have had reserves scoring a phenomenal number of points. How many matches this season, in all leagues) has a reserve scored 14 points (Sissis) and 16 points (bates for Somerset). These things simply do not happen often and unfortunately we have been on the other end of it. Everyone has a bad night but things are being blown way out of proportion by a lot of people. You are entitled to your opinion and i respect that just the way i see it hope i am wrong but the signs aren't good.

Glasgow built a team that was very top heavy. As it happens the bottom three have performed very well for most of the season but seem to have run out of steam at the key time. Still if they have Sissis as a guest that may not be such an issue over the weekend, certainly on Monday anyway.

I reckon if we have Sissis as guest then we will beat Newcastle. I know it's not about the best guests etc but that's what it has come down to and Garcia has been carrying a few knocks. Hopefully a fully fit rider will help.

I would back any of our (Newcastle's) top 6 against Sissis at Brough Park everytime. I'd even say I'd back our top 6 at Ashfield, as well. If Garcia (and best wishes on his recovery, by the way) does need replacing, there are very few options that Glasgow can bring in on the Sunday for this leg. Tom Perry, Max Clegg, Richard Hall, Zdenek Holub, Daniel Halsey, Ellis Perks, Lee Payne, Ben Morley, Josh Bailey, Arthur Sissis, Nathan Greaves and Matt Williamson are the choices available. Of those 12, I'd say only two or three would be a decent choice. Edited October 21, 2016 by Steve Park

Sissis scored 12+2 from 5 rides last night at Glasgow and scored 5 I recall on his last visit to Brough riding for Sheffield. There could be more twists yet before Sunday with Glasgow riding at Edinburgh this evening and Steve guesting for the Monarchs. Really do hope there are no more injuries before the end of the season. Holub shouldn't be riding after withholding his services In Peterborough's final meeting at Edinburgh, but i'd be surprised if anybody would want to give him a chance even in a one off guest booking anyway. Unreliable on and off bikes and should be serving a ban .

Sissis scored well at Glasgow, but the 3 opposing riders he did beat only score 7 points between them, so wouldn't get overly worried about that Edited October 21, 2016 by ruffdiamond
Gazc
Sissis scored well at Glasgow, but the 3 opposing riders he did beat only score 7 points between them, so wouldn't get overly worried about that I would if you had seen how quick and composed he was it took a last lap swoop from Rene to get the better off him. Anyway good luck to both teams on Sunday my dilemma was speedway at Newcastle or watch my other team at Hampden it had to be Hampden old firm derby can't beat them.
