Gazc
Such a shame that people have to come on and snipe about the wealth of Glasgows owners when they lose. In a sport which is struggling to survive financially we need more of these people getting involved in speedway! Alas they will always come out with there snide comments. Jealously is a terrible thing and reading some posts on here there are a few idiots that gloat on the failure off my team because our owners have the cheek to invest in the sport and actually promote it. Yes this place is full of brain dead neanderthals that cannot see the bigger picture they simply cannot help themselves.
Dekker
Surprised to see the score, not surprised to see when needed Lawson couldn't pass. Should be a good 2017 with both Scottish clubs in the mix again.
Gazc
Now that the dust has settled somewhat I will post my own opinion on last night.Track grading we have made jokes on the tractor racing etc etc but this is not funny anymore, I lost count on how many grades were done last night it was ridiculous and looking at my programme Sheffield gained a heat advantage after every grade after we clawed it back. What is the point off all these grades other than to disrupt the momentum we are building. Last night this went a long way to affect the result and somebody needs to explain wtf is going on.I am being serious here when I say this 5 people I stand with every week walked out last night after the umpteenth grade very sad state of affairs when loyal supporters have had enough.Another long standing supporter that has attended 45 year's and long term season ticket holder told me last night he will not be renewing next year until he sees how it goes the first couple off meetings why incessant tractor grading.Surely the powers in charge could hear the discontent amongst the fans when they see the tractor appear almost after every heat.If not then the fact the stadium was half empty after heat 14 should confirm it to them apologies on the long winded post but it needed to be said what the vast majority off my fellow fans are thinking. The grades are a big part off our downfall. Gazc
Means the riders settings are always changing which is never good. Agree completely we all understand that you need grading done but not to the extent that it affects performance and ultimately the possible outcome. Strong words Gazc. How frequent are the grades? I lost count after 8 last night just looked on our website and in the match report it mentions the track grading indirectly having an effect when your own club website refers to it then it is pretty damning. Shale Searcher
Coty hit the 3rd bent fence really hard the bike burst the air bag with him going into fence underneath he was trying to pass for second place with Rene leading he was probably trying too hard nothing broken dislocated his knee but popped back in maybe ligament damage knee brace support on Is this another example of bike hits airbag, rider goes underneath it?? (Don't want to clog thread with this subject, so a simple yes/no will suffice) Cheers

Shale Searcher
Wonderful! Perhaps there is a traitor within the ranks at Glasgow who was determined to see them lose! Track taking on water? It gets Leeched out the atmosphere this time of year at an incredible rate... Resulting in heavy shale, mid corner berm build up, difficult to distribute the shale on track in these types of conditions....
Gazc
Wonderful! Perhaps there is a traitor within the ranks at Glasgow who was determined to see them lose! You for real seriously do you actually read post's the reason we lost is we weren't good enough on the night track grading continually upsets momentum and as Dekker said changes the track but it is not why we lost but it didn't help. You post some drivel or are you perhaps just being mischievous i think it is the latter.
MANSE
The track grades had nothing to do with last nights result. The reason was our bottom end Lunna good first ride fell second ride never the same after Garcia no power in bike fell twice trying to hard Ayres did his job in his first two rides never expected anything from his third i felt he was wrongly excluded in his final ride as Heeps hit him entering the first bend which resulted in him falling.Sisses scored 12+2 and never beat any of our top 4 who scored 41 +2 from their rides plus 1 broken chain. My opinion why we lost was SISSIS beating our bottom end in his 6 rides
jenga
WOW , just seen this (been on the moon) fantastic result for sheffield and not a good one gor glasgow . looking at the updates site . it must have been pretty nerve racking for all those there . looks like sissis done a great job and the show pony didnt . but thats speedway . the big question now is, can glasgee recover and finish on a high or will the crammed in meetings take their toll? in my eyes revels won the league and it will be a shame if they dont do the biz in the final . another question is , will the facu,s be as generous with their pay structure next season or will they return to the real word of speedway as we know it . once again , well done to the steel town who stole this semi .! tyretrax
Too much clay? Cooler weather means track retains water, large clumps getting left by the tractor and loads being dumped on inside of back straight which still seem to be there at the next meeting. diamond@heart
Congratulations to Sheffield, never saw that one coming. On a separate note, Thanks Sheffield for firing the Tigers up for the KO Cup Final clashes with Newcastle!!!

What is the point off all these grades other than to disrupt the momentum we are building. Last night this went a long way to affect the result and somebody needs to explain wtf is going on. The grades are a big part off our downfall. Based upon my (very limited) visits to Glasgow, I completely agree. The number of times I saw it a few weeks ago was ridiculous and, what's worse, it made absolutely no difference because the track was still rubbish. At Workington the night before, the track was graded and watered after heats 4,7, 11 & 14 and the racing was top draw. Do it right in the first place and you don't need to constantly watch tractor racing. My opinion why we lost was SISSIS beating our bottom end in his 6 rides Even if it was nothing to do with the result (which may or may not be true) people want to watch the bikes on the track, not the tractors. Continual grading is (or certainly should be) absolutely unnecessary and just annoys everyone.
Thischarmingman
Glasgow Tigers spokesman released the following statement following last night’s result; ‘We’re as disappointed as any of the fans that despite throwing ridiculous amounts of money at riders this year, we’ve not managed to actually win anything worthwhile. But fear not Glasgow fans, you can be sure that we will be working hard to rectify that situation over the winter and offer large amounts of money to average riders, which in turn increases the demands of all riders, and costs to all clubs in speedway, thus destabilising the sport in the long term. But we’re all right jack. In fact, right now we’re targeting a young talented British rider who was given a chance to prove himself by one of our closest rivals, we’re confident that he can’t possibly refuse the offer we’ve put together, which will make any package put together by any of our rivals laughable’

Pogo1
Regarding track grades last night, they were planned for after heat 4.7,10 and 14, Twice our captain asked for extra grading as Nike Lunna had damaged his bike in one race and the other extra one was that our riders wanted the wheel out more to create more dirt, I believe it's just common practice to have a pop at the grading when the meeting was heading for a 9.10pm finish until Coty's crash. You wanted a quicker run meeting, you were getting that!! Finally congratulations to Sheffield and good luck in the final.
