Pob
Was Pob playing on the practice pitch behind the stand at Portman Rd by any chance, as someone there crawled off the pitch in a fair bit of agony with an Achilles injury..... if so, I was the referee and told him to stop as he was considering playing on!! That was Friday evening... Ah Tomcat yes that was me . No football for me for a while

jenga
not the best posts by cookieipswich, baldyman , gavan and spanner 47 on the ippo v scunny thread . i thought you lot were supe supporters the amount of posting you do where ippo are involved . i wouldnt blame chris if he binned the whole speedway thing in 2018 and went onto other things . not really good supporters of the witches at all . keyboard kings ! tomcat
Ah Tomcat yes that was me . No football for me for a while Nice to have met you mate. I honestly hope that you make a full recovery, Achilles injuries are amongst the most painful that I have ever had, did mine during a league game while being assessed for a refereeing promotion, carried on and regretted it afterwards, but still got my promotion.... somehow lol. Will miss you Friday night, as I'm now officially your full time ref, so hopefully we'll get to meet up again in future.

Baldyman
If it's the tomcat I'm thinking of pob, he knows a lot about speedway and used to help riders and club. Although it could be a different tomcat.
2ndbend
So near and yet so far...... why is Sedgeman at 5? If the Witches want to win anything this season the management must be ruthless and replace under performing riders. There are riders out there that are not riding in the uk at the moment! We need someone who can ride away tracks - names that spring to mind Berge, Vissing, Robson, Busk Jacobsen, Porsing or even Allen. Have the bspa decided on the conversion fron prem to champ? Any team should always put there best 2 riders a 1&5 , heat 13 is usually a critical heat for both sides , doing otherwise is madness. Baldyman
Kennett? Does he fit
2ndbend
Not sure if Kennett is the answer only seems to ride Rye House well nowadays and he couldn't hold down a place in their team.

Although it could be a different tomcat. It's me Baldy.... One and the same TomCat... aka Jerry that used to help Bob with the track, spanner for various riders when required etc etc, Good to see Pob at the footie Friday night, to give his team some moral support, but boy was he in some pain. Maybe I will get along to Foxhall, if time allows, as basically full time with the footie refereeing, so not easy to get to see the boys ride these days. I was trying for next Thursday, as have nothing appointed game wise as things stand, but will have to see what happens as I really would like to get at least one live fixture in before the end of the speedway season. SCB
I see Sedgmen is doing a fine job. Of lowering his average. Never understood why Ipswich signed him this season, was never going to get that average. I guess the argument is him or R/R but but surely there some someone better out there? Baldyman
Or if there wasn't anyone, there must be now.
Pob
Justin Sedgmen 7.11 Eff 10/07/17 think i've got the correct average please let me know if i haven't who's there that would fit to replace him before he drops any lower
Arch Stanton
Risager? I know he's not overly popular with some either but I'd take Morten over Sedgman in a heartbeat. Edited July 10, 2017 by Arch Stanton
