Baldyman
How do people think Schlein will do, weaker league obviously, but he didn't do well at all last year! Nine point average if stays injury free
Alan R Horne
How do people think Schlein will do, weaker league obviously, but he didn't do well at all last year! Â Think he will do fine, he was injury plagued last season but if staying clear of those will expect him to reach an 8 - 8.5 average. A 9 average is far to optimistic. Super Blue
I think alot will depend where Rory rides in the team as far as his average goes, if at 5 he will mostly ride with a reserve so would pretty much always be beating his team mate, therefore higher scores. At 3 I'm guessing he'd be riding with Kyle who could finish ahead of him. Â If he starts well in my opinion he could be pushing Danny for the No1 race jacket at some point in the season. Â But it's all about opinions as I've said before.
BluPanther
I think Rory will do well to average over 8. A season without injury is probably high on his xmas list, he deserves a bit of luck in 2017..
89buttons
Rory has always ridden well and enjoyed riding Foxhall, he's a very experienced rider and will have good equipment, injury free he'all put plenty on his average! A great asset in the pits too, a natural leader and team man that'll offer loads of help and advice for the younger guys,
tomcat
Team looks good on paper, may even tempt me back for a look after 4 years or so, but one thing I do hope and pray for, is that everyone gives the two kids at reserve their full support all the way through, even if they have a bad night. They're taking a huge responsibility on at the tail end and need constant support and encouragement, not grief if they struggle. Some fans wanted Chris to add to the clubs asset base and give youth a chance, well he's done that in my view, now lets get behind them, like we used to do back in the day of second halfers getting a crack at a team place. Onwards and upwards Witches fans and hopefully see some of you in the new season ahead. First time in years I've actually felt quite excited about a coming speedway season.

I think Chris has been very wise this year as the format now allows Danyon/Connor to be very competitive. They will riding against some riders that they have already beaten in the NL and at home i think both will be fine.Away from home it will be a learning curve for both of them.Hume i think will do well at home especially,Mountain also has real talent it will be harder for him though as he is coming back from a bad injury. bigcatdiary
Nine point average if stays injury free Personally I think he will do well to cover his 7.00 point starting average.

2ndbendbeerhut
Stick Rory at 2... 1st race off the inside and easy heat 8 for him to win. Could score a fair few 5 1s with King too. Ave wouldn't increase too much but hey ho 😉

Ave wouldn't increase too much but hey ho  That will be fine for Rory but will it be best for the Witches team on the whole and obviously us fans who pay everyones wages?  Personally I think not as where will Cameron ride? It will mean almost certainly he will ride at 3 or 4 with Kyle and wouldn't want to see that. Why don't we all put our personal preference for riding order.  Mine is -  1. King 2. Heeps 3. Schlien 4. Newman 5. Covatti 6. Mountain 7. Hume
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
I dont see any likelyhood of the 1-7 lining up any differently to that predicted by Mr H. Â Perhaps if Rory starts to really fly he may move to 5. The only other switch could be reversing 3 and 4 depending on who you want in heat 14. Hume  either as you've suggested alan or perhaps swap newman to 5 and have a powerful 3&4 in schlein and covatti, can't see the benefit in putting schlein at
2ndbendbeerhut
Whoever is at 2 will have a low ave as they will be riding with King, just look at Manzares and Sarjaent in the last couple of years. If a stronger rider is it 2 it would reduce Danny's ave too.... not a bad thing? At home shouldnt matter where they ride as should be strong enough to cope. Baldyman
Heeps can't gate for diddly squat, which isn't great for getting off on a 5-1 in heat one, but because of that reason he has to go at 2. I would start Rory at 3, but move him to 5 if he rides as good as I think he will.
Gavan
Why not have Kyle at number 2?  Would be far more confident with him in heat 8 (i think thats right?) then Heeps  Could see Danny and Kyle with a few 5-1's which i couldnt see with Heeps at 2. Baldyman
What about it it's a tight meeting and heeps is in 14??
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
What about it it's a tight meeting and heeps is in 14??well he would be there because the switch has resulted in 5-1 in 1 8 and 12 according to the other posts so unlikely to be tight and so doesnt matter. With no pressure Cam will probably win 14 to make it something like 55-29 and all is well 😉😛
