dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Thank you and good luck to Morten. I will miss defending his contribution to Baldy!! 😉
Baldyman
I do actually really like morten. One minute every team needs a morten, then we don't have one🤔
Aries
http://www.ipswichwitches.co/witches/#ChrisLouis Almost certainly looks like PL, and judging by the comments from the two above, I'd say the team will almost certainly contain Hume, and Risager!! Or perhaps not..

TB1
What ever the set up is, I want to see radical change not just window dressing. On an Ipswich note from July onwards I thought the season was thoroughly enjoyable and whilst I would prefer top league racing in whatever form, as long as we are competitive and challenging that's good for me. Super Blue
What, no triple B (Billy big ball's) as Baldy might say! I'm sure we will all wish him well with his time in his homeland and thank him for his contribution to Ipswich Speedway. He's been pretty consistent for us this year and definitely one of his better seasons although occasionally lacking when we really needed him to come to the party. A non heat leader rider to end the season on a 7+ average could well be difficult to find a replacement for. Still, time will tell when things start to come together after the agm. Baldyman
He is low 5 isn't he?? Not sure it's a risk Chris will take again????? Obviously a lot will come down to points limit. Think I would like to see some new talent Edited October 27, 2016 by baldyman
Super Blue
Gino finished 2015 on 5.43, with decent equipment and if hes learnt how to stay on his bike for 4 laps he could be worth a punt on that average. I still think alot of how the team ends up will be dependent on how many of, or if any of the rumoured rule and point limit changes turn out to be true. We may be looking at many of the teams saying wtf or seriously!
Baldyman
You sound like my hubby Not sure if that's a good or bad thing since I don't know your other alf
89buttons
Gino has the potential to be a much better rider than 5.43 especially without the visa pressure hanging over him, an injury free season could see him put 2 points on that imo, and looking up and down the final averages from this don't see many better alternatives at that average. would also like to see some more of the american youngsters come over next year, max ruml, bro nicol etc. does anyone know if they would start on a 5 or a 7? as that could damage their chances significantly

Super Blue
Wasn't gino on hagon shocks sponsored equipment? That's pretty good stuff. Towards the end of that season it appeared to be poorly maintained and not very quick due to lack of money I'm guessing, and that makes it not so good. Baldyman
actually..I don't think he was on hagon in his second season Edited October 29, 2016 by baldyman
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
If the limit is reduced to 39/40 as is strongly rumoured and a number of the top riders dont continue in the PL then 5ish point riders that are capable of more will be the most sought after IMO. In that scenario having 4 of them meaning 1 is always at reserve as well could be the way to go with team buiding. So something like Barker Covatti Sarj Gino Cam Ash Morris Danyon If the limit is a little higher replace one of the 4 with Wells or the like. Baldyman
Wow that looks so much weaker doesn't it. A rider like kerr on a 6.16 will be sort after also.

Perhaps though thats whats needed to make a distinction between the PL and EL again and set up a proper structure of progression from the bottom up. 2ndbendbeerhut
Any team that can get a 5 point newcomer that can do what Allen and BWD did at Somerset will be on to a winner.....

Baldyman
Well we will hopefully have Hume that can put a big increase on his. So if we can get more than one rider that can do it..we could be seeing silverware. Let's hope Louis can get the right riders to do that. Somerset will, that's for sure
