Sheffield V Glasgow Play Off Semi Final

Recommended Posts

According to our centre green presenter yesterday , it's not yet been decided whether Simon Stead will ride or not .

It's a blow not having Steady, Jason and Dimitri as they are almost irreplaceable at Owlerton as all 3 are capable of beating anyone at Sheffield, but the club have brought in the best possible available replacements.

Given our performance last time at Glasgow when we got stuffed, we will need a big lead to take up to Ashfield to give ourselves a chance in the second leg.

To be fair , you underperformed that day . Berge looked like he'd never seen a speedway bike before , so r-r can only be a plus there , and Kell Brook was just back from injury and scored about 2 , he scored paid 16 yesterday , so if he just concentrates on speedway he should improve his score from the league match

Not quite what I said! I said there were rumours that Stead may still ride! They may turn out to be true or utter nonsense! I didn't say that a decision was still to be taken!

Fair enough , my humble apologies

Haha, at least Bates lasted longer than Kell Brook :rofl:

Sissis and Greaves have hardly set the heather on fire this Season and though they might narrowly outscore Garcia and Ayres, I would expect the Tigers duo to heavily outscore them on Sunday.

Also Sheffield will no be able to replace Berge with Auty at Ashfield, as the guest average drops from 7.26 to 6.91 away from home (also choice of guest excludes other Play-Off riders)

garcia and the show pony have not been that good of late . at worky they were struggling and at glasgow they are not in the early season form they were . so maybe a good chance for you guys .

Sheffield fans would take that. (not the band) Peterborough tried it . had more changes than my underpants !

And they got nothing to show for it a bit like Workington who didn't make any changes. Talking about your underpants think you must have a hygiene problem they seem to be full of something.

THURSDAY TEAM NEWS |

R Wells (G)

J Auty (G)

M Bates

S Stead R/R

K Howarth

A Sissis

N Greaves

This team could be subject to change lol

OWLERTON 7.30!

Is this going to be the running order of the team on Thursday? Surely Bates should be at 2 and Auty at 3. With Auty at no. 3 riding with the R/R at least we'd have a chance of 3 points in heats 3, 5 & 9, he rides Owlerton far better than Bates.

Totally agree. Especially as it seems to be Marc Bates who is in the team.

Cant see this being on it's rained through the night and is raining quite heavily now (I'm about 5 miles from the stadium). The forecast is for more showers throughout the day, some predicted to be heavy!

Any weather updates, Dry in Derby but rain at Junction 28 of M1

Currently a yucky grey sky 5 miles south of Owlerton and just began bucketing down again. But the stadium seems to have a climate of its own, it really can rain everywhere else in Sheffield apart from over the track itself.
