Sheffield V Glasgow Play Off Semi Final

Recommended Posts

Wells and Auty to guest for Garritty and Berge r/r for Steady. Lets hope Bates doesn't get a suspension for his antics today at Glasgow,

That could be a real possibility he was an absolute disgrace today and the Ref had to come from his box and take him for a meeting from what was said after the meeting (speedway meeting) it will be in his report and action against Bates will be taken.

think if josh was banned then so would Rene after all he did square up to josh, which caused it .

From my view just looked like hard riding

You can ban a mechanic from the stadium but he will just get another one , no big loss

Really defending yourself from a ned he should be banned remember it wasn't just Rene he attacked and he wanted to keep this going until it got finally dispersed.

Bates was the instigator off the whole incident and had a go at anything that moved in the end up.

he will more than likely cop a hefty fine for him and his mechanic.

Don't think he will get a ban, if did then it would more than likely be suspended.

You are probably right if it had just have been Rene he attacked but he then went on and attacked Aaron Summers and then had a go at a member off the track staff he really let himself down today and i wouldn't rule out a ban. I have never seen anything like it it was that bad.

I wasn't there today obviously, but I doubt it was worse than the Paul Cooper/Claus Vissing incident at Sheffield a few years ago, I think only fines were issued for that.

Can't comment as i never saw that but i suppose it will be what it is, some form off punishment will come his way whatever they decide is appropriate.

That s why I said fine for him and failure to control his mechanic which is what Vissing cop on that night.

The money he earn't from the meeting will have gone in fines.

Think likes of Jim McGregor would have flung book at the wee Ned. Don't know much about Stuart Wilson.

He's from Workington , been reffing a few years now . Didn't envy him his job today trying to sort sort out the guilty parties from the melee

To be fair he was on the track immediately and up to the pits i know he had Bates in the potacabin not sure if anyone else were brought in after that would imagine the two team managers at some point.

It may depend on if there were any mitigating circumstances- from what I have read, Bach had words with Bates after the race, but nobody seems to know what was said. It's not normally like Josh to lose his temper when he is riding well (which judging from his score he was) so something must have been amiss.

Not Josh's biggest fan, mainly because he tends not to ride using his head, but he doesn't often get himself into bother

He lost his temper in the sky match at Glasgow last year as well. The pictures are now slowly appearing on Facebook etc and clearly show Bates getting off his bike and hitting Bach multiple times.

Gaz: one question. How does Josh Bates have a fight with himself? Surely you should mention the Glasgow rider in question as well?

Or was Rene Bach a complete angel who didn't have words with Bates after the race?

All the best

Rob
