DWP
Three leagues only for riders riding in the PGE Ekstraliga. The ruling will not effect Britain. The only rider not returning to Britain next season would be Niels-Kristian Iversen. For example Niels-Kristian Iversen will have to ride in the Danish League. Niels-Kristian Iversen will also ride in Sweden. Niels-Kristian Iversen has put pen to paper in Stal Gorzow today. Three leagues only for riders riding in the PGE Ekstraliga. But the rule is as proposed at the moment. He can do Poland, Denmark then Sweden or Uk. In 2018 even worst Poland + one other league. Not happy
iris123
Oh on eSpeedway it said that Niels-Kristian Iversen and Przemyslaw Pawlicki signed for Stal Gorzow. Niels defo wont be doing Britain as Denmark, Poland and Sweden will be the three leagues. I bet Niels is not happy. The ruling only effects the Danish boys. Thanks for the reply DWP Why are you so certain if Niels has to choose,he would choose Denmark? He only rode in 8 Danish League meetings this year.Doubt that would give him as much money as a season in the EL
mikebv
The Poles will have thought this through... The aim will be to stop the 'Big Boys' (what they see as 'their riders') burning themselves out by flying around Europe three or four times a week... You can see the conversation... "Ditch Britain, dont fly in and out all week, stay fresh for Sunday"... "You will lose 100k you say for no longer riding 28 matches? No problem we have two sponsors willing to top up your 300k contract to 400k for just 14 matches over here"..... "And think of the benefits it will bring to your GP season by only riding here and Sweden? Plenty of time to get sorted, plenty of time to relax"... "Obviously the alternative is you decide to keep your 100k and release yourself from your 300k contract"... "Whats it to be?" iris123
Home country. Danish riders always ride in the Danish league. But i wonder if something like 8 meetings or the 3-6 meetings done in Czecho or the Bundesliga are even in the thinking of the Polish League.I can understand 15 or 20+ meetings, but over a season are 8 meetings a problem to Poland? Personally i just think they want everyone to give them priority. And Denmark doesn't clash at all really Edited October 13, 2016 by iris123

waiheke1
See what you mean but I think the money might be a bit out.In what way? They would earn less in uk? 80k not 100k? With polish figure being right at about 4 times uk earnings?

Shale Searcher
Yes. but it's not a "can't" ride in the UK, it's "won't" be riding in the UK..... His choice, not the rules prohibiting him from riding UK.. Edited October 14, 2016 by Shale Searcher

SteveLyric2
I think this new Polish rule will affect riders like NKI who has to ride some meetings (not all) in his domestic league but who has also contracted to Sweden and the top league inPoland. It will also affect the likes of Nicki Pedersen and Peter Kildemand - assuming both have a top league place in Poland. Riders such as Andersen, B.Pedersen and others who only have a Polish 2nd division place shouldn't be particularly affected, if the want to ride UK/.
