slyfox
I may have misread what you mean, but Brian H is 74 (born 9 May 1942). Yes that's what I thought and is why I put "reported as being 76". Which he has been in both the Speedway Star and Evening Gazette on Teesside and Brian does not seem to have disputed that. Skid Sprocket asked the question, what had the brothers done wrong, in an earlier post. My opinion was rejecting Ged Rathbone's offer was wrong (my opinion). I did not mention the name of which brother made the insults, as I thought it was not right. I stand by what I stated that one of the brothers made constant insults to riders. In particular Aaron Summers and Matej Kus. Not disputing anything you say (that's your opinion) except you seemed to have got the brothers the wrong way round in terms of age. boz
All quiet on here! Really need the new promotion sorted out i guess before too much can happen with riders. Sounds like JBA had agreed terms with Havvy and is just waiting on the new promotion to confirm it and that would be a solid start to team building.

Drac
Well if it is true that we made a profit last season, surely it makes financial sense to dig deep on riders this season to bring the ever dwindling crowd back. A team doing well brings people through the doors. Look at Middlesbrough FC the seasons we were shi'te in the championship there was 15k a match and when we were challenging for promotion it was 25k+ People will support a successful team

Fingers crossed the new promoter can win back some of the old crowd and get a bit of atmosphere around the place.

slyfox
You'd imagine both Skidmore & JBA will be nailed on to return Plus Tobias Busch should be a cert as well on 4.66. That could sort the middle order out. Then we would need 2 above them say Davis Bellego (again) on 7.63 and Thomas Jorgensen on 7.45 (as he always goes well on our track and we have talked about trying to get him for ages). That would take us to 32.88 and just the reserves to fit in. Ideally Rob Branford at No 6 on 4.6 would be great (if he would come back, after all he is our asset). That would leave 2.52 for a No 7 and I understand you can go down to 2 points for a N L rider without a P L average. I now understand from Havvys comment in The Gazette yesterday that you have to have 2 British riders in each team this year which would be the No 7 and Rob Branford in that case. Just shows how tight team building will be with only 40 points to play with. Edited November 8, 2016 by Sly Fox

slyfox
Wouldnt Busch be 5 min? Not according to the new averages on the BSPA site today (he is 4.66). They even have Jacob Bukhave on a 3 point average if anyone wants to take a chance on him again. Edited November 8, 2016 by Sly Fox
KIRKYLANE
Glasgow did well , good crowds..... or looked that way but still lost money! Glasgow are reportedly paying the biggest money in their league and going by the team strength at Redcar , they are at the other end of the spectrum. Redcar do have a good hardcore of support even with a poor team Edited November 8, 2016 by KIRKYLANE

Reviresco
Every team in the Premiership and Championship has to have a minimum of two British riders: https://twitter.com/SpeedwayGB/status/795573985102663680
