boz
Spot on post. I was a doubter, but he has won me over. He is box office. Totally agree with this - when we signed him I had my doubts but has been a revelation. Fantastic with the fans and seems to be on good kit this season. Has been excellent at the MPA and his team riding is excellent. Would be happy to watch him at the MPA for the next few years.

The White Knight
I must say that I have always liked Ben Barker. Always tries and gives 100% - that goes a long way with me. Edited July 5, 2017 by The White Knight

MD
Twelve months ago Glasgow sacked BB due to slow unreliable engines and a lack of prep prior to meetings. The intention from Glasgow was clear, get him on a low-ish average which he could significantly add to as a middle order rider. Redcar have got the rider we thought we were getting last year. Enjoy it while it lasts.

RedcarB123
No Wright is sidelined who do we get for guest stars or do we use R/R , also wondering on the fitness of garrity? Guests not guest stars
Arson fire
Twelve months ago Glasgow sacked BB due to slow unreliable engines and a lack of prep prior to meetings. I heard Glasgow gave him money for engines which he blew( money not engine)..... then had to ride lawnmowers due to lack of funds.... allegedly

Gazc
It could be down to a better management rider relationship that we are seeing at Redcar. Glasgow management bent over backwards to help Ben, even helping financially to get engines but he turned up week after week on flymo's and I won't get into the other things that happened lets just say it was odds on he wasn't a favourite . Good to see Ben has picked his form up though still a talented rider.
allthegearbutnaeidea
Yes Ben's gambling problem was evident at Berwick as well, good to see him riding well now though

RedcarRacer
Tobias Busch replaces Coty Garcia. Happy to see Busch back and in a few weeks should be scoring more, but just to say Garcia performed admirably for the Bears during his spell especially when at number 2. I thought he might have done enough to stay but fair enough the Bears staying loyal.

Once Busch is back and race fit should be the best reserve in the league from the form he shown at the STMP last year. Garcia has done well - I have no doubt he will find another club and would be happy to see him as a Bear again next year.
happyvalleywoolerman
Unfortunate timing for Coty Garcia because after 31st this month teams can't be changed. Shame for a great wee guy who did nothing wrong at Berwick, Glasgow or Redcar.

Shame for a great wee guy who did nothing wrong at Berwick, Glasgow or Redcar. It is indeed - but Redcar always maintained that they would stay loyal to Busch once he was fit again and, as I understand it, Coty was made aware of this and always kept up to date with any developments. Hopefully he'll get sorted with another club and it's great to see a club / promotion staying loyal to a rider and keeping their word

Loyalty is a rare commodity these days. Actually, once again, I am impressed with the Promotion at Redcar.
