Redcar 2017

So they've told him he's sacked but they want him to do 1 more shift. If he doesn't ride he gets a 28 day ban.

If that was me I'd be seeing a lawyer who specializes in employment law.

I remember when K Denham sacked James Wright, couldn't get the replacement in or something so he asked James to ride one more meeting. He did and rode well.

Why would Redcar not just tell Hall after Thursdays meeting is out of the way, meaning Hall would be riding and not an NL guest? All sounds very amateurish to tell him today.

Because then I'm guessing the teams averages would change and Halls average would have dropped.

???

So you want to sack me but also want me to put in a shift as you're in the doodoo

Either pay a Kings ransom or I'll Google around at the back

If the promotor/TM wants you out it's their choice

PS I'm not Richard Hall

I'm speaking hypothetically regarding what I would do if I was and what I would do in similar circumstances in any other job

Redcar have now come to agreement with Richard that he will do his last meeting on Thursday (which makes sense all round). It will also mean that he will then have done 4 home and 4 away meetings so his new lower 2017 average will kick and maybe help him when looking for a new team.

ill give redcar credit for telling him

so many speedway riders find out there getting dropped by the fans or other clubs

sometimes getting dropped can be the best thing for some riders as they relax and realise the problem wasnt there equipment but the rider themselves

It's in Richards interests to ride. He'll get a new, lower average OR he'll have a great meeting meaning someone else will want to sign him.

As for this change, just makes sense and IMO makes Redcar one of the teams who can now win the title, mind you, this season theres a few teams fighting for it.

Look. There's NO good time to tell anyone that they're dropped. Read Kevin Keays official statement which I think is very gracious and diplomatic. Good sense seems to be prevailing all around. Only fans of other teams on here seem to be upset! At least we didn't say he was injured or retiring.

It is a bit of an odd one, you tell the rider he is being sacked then offer him a chance to race this Thursday, I bet Hall`s reply was quite colourful to say the least.

You would think that the Bears management, would have learned from the experiences of previous Bears managements. When they sacked Justin Sedgemen, before the meeting started (at home to Scunthorpe I think ). Then were surprised when he tootled round for 3 fat zero's.
