TB1
Let's all not panic. For a start we all knew tonight would be tough, secondly everyone seems to be forgetting that because of the no tactical rule it probably added 4 to 6 points to Somersets total, and thirdly it'll be the same for us next week. As I have stated before, its not necessarily what we do this year, its how we build on it next season.
Baldyman
To be honest I see no reason why we still can't win. And I think we will if they make the track a bit rough.
TheSpecialOne
You lost the first leg by 16 points and you have the chance to pull it back next Thursday get over it and grow up without printing offensive language. There really is no need for it I agree and actually expected a bigger first leg deficit so why then is somebody unconnected to this semi on this thread claiming the toe is over? Because this thread is open to anyone to comment on , that's without bad language though or otherwise you are likely to be blocked and we don't want to hear it anyway. Aroundtheboards
I have to ask what was the matter with Miss B. Barker last night at the conclusion of Heat 15 ? He successfully ruined Josh G's race by deliberately riding into him on the entry to Bend 1 of Lap 1 which unbalanced Josh and put him in last place. The race was then concluded and Josh returned to the pits from Bend 4 of the last Lap, fine, you would think but then when Ms Barker arrived at the pit gate he dismounted and fell to the floor, apparently in pain from his lower right leg, obviously self inflicted at his first bend antics and fell to the deck ! He was immediately attended to by teammates and St Johns, fine again you would think. Josh G then arrived back at the scene to see what the fuss was about only for Miss Barker to get to his feet and swing a punch at Josh ???? A real case of spitting the dummy out after being hoist by his own petard !!!! In other words - - - - - PRAT !!! JamesB
The lead is a bit bigger than hoped for, however if the team maintain the recent level of performance at home it can certainly be turned around. Â I know Josh scored well in the league meeting but from memory, I don't think he normally does that well at Foxhall. Also, Foxhall is not Rohan's favourite track. Â Should be a good night. dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Anybody know what Josh said whilst Ben was getting treated?? Â Possibly wasnt 'hope youre ok buddy' Â Until that is disclosed we cant be sure which one (or if both) should be labelled a prat.....
Bagpuss
Amazes me how people get their knickers in a twist over a bit of hard riding or arguing/fisticuffs. As we saw on Wednesday evening it enhances and adds to the entertainment. It's a highly charged, adrenalin fuelled sport, not petanque or tiddlywinks. Don't see the need to whingebag about it afterwards, we need more of it to liven speedway up a bit.
Super Blue
Not a massive amount of reaction on here to last night's result and I've pondered about our chances in the return leg. Â It's disappointing to be 16pts down but? Â Looking at it logically I'd expect most of the Witches to do alot better on Thursday, the only time at home we've failed to beat a side by less than 20 pts since July is Newcastle and that was when a last minute reserve change to Scott Campus was necessary. Â Looking also how the Rebels may fair at Foxhall we all know Tungate is a gating tart and couldn't pass wind here if he doesn't make the start. Â Allen will probably only get half what he did at home. Â Wright and Stark will no doubt get a few. Â Grajczonek traditionally doesn't go well here but is more than capable of getting a decent score. Â And assuming the same reserves are used I doubt they'll get 10 between them here. Â So given the above I believe it's still all to play for and as long as we prepare a track similar to of late, continue our recent good home form and hit them hard from the off I think it could be a cracker of a meeting that goes right down to the wire. Â Obviously just hoping to make a real match of it for the paying punters.

Baldyman
If our reserves can do a bit better at foxhall I think we have this in the bag. Thing is I'm not sure they will do any better🤔
Super Blue
Although young Connor Coles certainly shows potential and should have scored better on his debut at Foxhall had he stayed on his bike a bit more the 2nd leg will need a no7 that can pick up a few points . Whether that means we need to look elsewhere or not I'm not sure . Â I'm also not convinced JJ particularly likes our track at the moment which seems strange to me as he learnt his craft on small circuits like Mildenhall , he seems to be partial to the big fast ones like Belle Vue . Â I'd certainly like to think we would outscore the opposition in the reserve department on Thursday in the 2nd leg , if we don't I think all hope of competing in the playoff final will be gone. That was suicidal and homicidal !!! Sticking your boot in another riders spokes to prevent him passing !!! I stand by my view on Barker !!! PRAT !!! Baldyman
So what you're really trying to say is you like Ben? Personally I think he is great. Our sport needs more like him

Baldyman
That's one of the issues speedway has. Boring people. It's viewed by outsiders as being as boring as and nerdish as stamp collecting.. Train and plane spotting
TheScotsman
I was a train spotter when I was young. Â Now I'm a miserable old sod. Â So train spotting obviously makes you happy and/or keeps you young.
