SteveZodiac
I would have thought Ashley Morris would have been a better option than Perks. Have I missed something on here referring to why he wasn't considered?

Perton Wolf
surely on form this year Perks is better than Morris? Sure.......but can he ride Monmore? Where 50% of his meetings will be. I think Perks will do OK for us Away but his ability to ride at home will be key.
Wolfsbane
Sure.......but can he ride Monmore? Where 50% of his meetings will be. I think Perks will do OK for us Away but his ability to ride at home will be key. Since Cradley have been lodgers a theory has developed, which Van Straaten is expounding yet again with Perks,is that if a rider has ridden for the Spoons at Monmore then he's a good bet for a place in the Wolves team. Tom Perry & Max Clegg debunk the success of that idea. The ones who could have made a difference, Starke when he was available for instance, he prefers to hand on a plate to another team. Personally I hope Perks is a blinding signing and I have to eat humble pie but IMO, at the moment, he's a #7 so we're back to where we were in march. Yampy
Massive week for Wolves and couldn't have come at a worse time. We look very vulnerable with a week of away matches to see out.
hyderd
Just had a look at one of the wolves fbook pages to read about woofinden and it's full of crap about cook! unfortunately we live in a country that loves to put down our sportsmen and women, that includes the media. Cookie knows more than anyone on here that he let himself down, but he is big enough and good enough to put it behind him and move on. Perton Wolf
Just had a look at one of the wolves fbook pages to read about woofinden and it's full of crap about cook! I did also see the fund raising for howarth, £210 so far and there are only 1,061 members of the group, that's nearly 20p each, impressive! They raised quite a bit for Nathan Greaves fairly recently too. Don't you get bored of constantly fishing?

Still more impressive than belle vue's rental payment record from last year though.

alkadera
Why is advertising fund raising for an injured rider fishing? There are probably loads of speedway fans who didn't know about it, I take it you would have preferred me not to have mentioned it? Indeed, everyone has moved on except for some very sad wolves fans, it's just more of this. So if you were just advertising the fund for Kyle howarth why the sarcastic comment about 1000 members and 20p each..... And you clearly haven't moved on from last October given your complete obsession with being derogatory about everything Wolves.
alkadera
Why not mention it? If another 1061 bsf members chip in 20p each that's another £210+. I'm sure howarth would be well chuffed. I certainly won't advertise another fund raising effort for an injured wolves rider if this is the sort of thanks I get. Last October was brilliant, not a classic cup final, that's the way two legged cup meetings can go, but I really enjoyed the win on the night. I'm sorry you see my opinion as derogatory, I've ALWAYS held the same opinions about wolves, trust me it's not just since last October, lol! But you didn't mention about other people donating, just that the Wolves Facebook page has 1000+ members and equating it to 20p each with accompanying 'impressive!'. If that is you advertising something it's a very strange way to go about it. Each to their own I guess. So why are you so 'opinionated' about everything Wolves then from all those years? stevebrum
How boring that the Belle Vue troll is still trying to take over the Wolves thread.
proud panther
Ellis Perks looked good at Peterborough today, & was doing well at Rye House. Good signing in my opinion.
alkadera
That's why I mentioned it on here, there's a chance some bsf users who don't use Facebook might now donate. It is impressive if all 1061 members donated, don't you agree? I think so anyway. I don't have opinions about 'everything wolves' but some wolves fans become abusive when they don't accept that I am entitled to an opinion and they usually become abusive with personal insults. if that's what you truly believe then I suggest you try making your posts clearer as it can easily be read in a different way. The joys of the written word.... Hmmm the right to an opinion works both ways
alkadera
As a matter of interest why did you think it was sarcastic? Sadly my opinions, which are backed up with reasons, are often met with personal abuse and/or childish replies which spoils the discussion to the point other users get upset. I've just noticed I've been called a liar on the poole2017 thread so at some point I'm going to have to go through and quote the relevant posts to put the record straight. If the forum was moderated efficiently this sort of stuff just wouldn't be necessary. Shame really. As I said the joys of the written word - the use of the words 'nearly' and 'impressive!' give that impression in your original post without any reference to promoting or advertising it on here which you then use in your further posts. Crazy robin
Strange that Adams is going on holiday for 2 weeks in the speedway season.
