Starman2006
Wasn't sure if this was the Poole thread or the Wolves thread but Poole will always build a great looking team with bargains but let's not forget before a wheel was turned in 2016 people were predicting Poole wouldn't lose a single match yet they didn't make the play off final. Yes Poole have gained an advantage over others with Nicolai Klindt on 5.42 but it's clear he wasn't interested in returning to Wolves and Poole will look after him as they do with all their riders during the season. As for Wolves, a strong top three is fine but the second strings and reserves will be questionable as Howarth struggled at reserve most of the season to average just over five, which was a drop in his average from the previous season as a second string. Then you have possibly Skornicki returning after a few years out is a rider that has always raised to the challenge and looks better than some second strings elsewhere, but are these two enough to back up a top three ? Then at reserve you have two young riders who may never move up to the main body which in return means Howarth and Skornicki may be second strings all season where as Poole will have Newman and Klindt switching positions and James Shanes is a great prospect and will hock a few. Yes Poole will start as favourites but while Wolves are questionable whoever they end up with, they will be around the top and it's who is in form come October that wins, not April. Yep we will start favorites mate, but you know yourself its all down to who stays sound and goes into the play off's in the best form. Gavan
Sorry mate and Wolves fans. But that Gavan ever sinse he's been on this forum he's done nothing but take swipes at poole, the fact if the truth was known that was the one reason he joined, clearly to win brownie points, and he's done a good job of doing that. And even to this day he is still doing it. He clearly has a real hang up over the club for whatever reason which he will not let drop. take a day off fool. I joined a forum for brownie points!!! You strange little man. I don't mind Poole it's just some of the prats that support them. You were favourites for the league ALL season! You blew it you choked and as has been pointed out injuries had naff all to do with it. Some of your so called fans have trolled so many threads saying how wonderful Poole are this season and they just have to turn up and ride. I'm merely stating that the Poole team whilst looking good is beatable. Wolves fans would like their thread back from the arrogance and stupidity of a number of Poole fans
waiheke1
Poole havent got a string reserve though.. Klindt is s**t he has that average for a reasonYet he averaged more as an El hl last season than any of next seasons reserves managed as protected reserves or in the pl.He is by some margin the strongest reserve, though won't stay in that position, and reversion to a conventional format means it's unlikely we will see reserves notching up huge scores.
outofdarkness
Nothing wrong with Andersen. 13 pts Riding at No.5 vs Wolves at Wolves. Beat Thorssell, Masters & Lindgren all around Monmore in the same night. KK is a different rider when riding for Poole. KK's heart is in it look at his score vs. BV when guesting for us. Finished with a 6.44 EL average last season which would convert to 9.01 yet we have signed him on a 5.42. BARGAIN OF THE SEASON! Which you will all moan about at the end of the 2017 season when Nicolai is scoring big points at reserve. Idiot. You have been crying about how Kyle Newman shouldn't be a reserve because he is too good and now you are saying he has done nothing in the 1-5. FYI Kyle beat Woffinden home and away this season. Case closed. So Anderson had a good meeting against us and scored 13.......and your point is? And PK,for example, had some fantastic scores last season BUT he wasn't consistantly scoring big......and nor was Anderson. The facts.... Anderson is well past his best and will do ok and he will have good meetings but he will not come any where near our N.O1.So stop blarting on and admitt the facts he's not as good as you think. As regards to Nic. ...I'm not bothered if he scores big at reserve or not.Good luck to the lad. He's decided to ride for Poole and thats the end of it. We,and i think i speak on behalf of a good percentage of Wolves fans, have moved on from that conversation and now looking forward to our final 3 riders and the season to start. take a day off fool. Wolfsbane
To paraphrase an earlier post. Pride comes before a Poole.

phillipsr
Strong reserves will rack up points regardless of race format. Klindt wont be one tho id bet he wont be the highest averaging starting reserve at the end of the year (apart from with KKS and his multiple accounts, Monater Daz etc)
waiheke1
Klindt wont be one tho id bet he wont be the highest averaging starting reserve at the end of the year (apart from with KKS and his multiple accounts, Monater Daz etc)I very much doubt Klindt will be at reserve at the end of the year. But I expect in his time at reserve he will average more than any other reserve does Strong reserves will rack up points regardless of race format. Good scores sure. But I doubt we will see reserves scoring say 15 from 6 or 7 rides. Last year a reserve could do that do without meeting a heatleader. And the heat format meant you could end up with a hl quality rider at reserve racing only edr and 2nd strings.
Col
He is by some margin the strongest reserve, though won't stay in that position. Yep. Klindt will score big points from reserve, until he overtakes Newman, Holder or Kurtz in the 1-5 in the averages, at which point the cut throats will ditch him, for a more capable rider on a lower average. Expect Poole to visit Swindon, Leicester, Belle Vue early next year. I still cannot comprehend why Wolves haven't signed Klindt, or why Klindt would join Poole over Wolves, knowing he'll get dumped after 8 matches if he joins Poole. I wouldn't say he's a cert to end up in the main team like some people would try have you believe either. Good scores sure. But I doubt we will see reserves scoring say 15 from 6 or 7 rides. Last year a reserve could do that do without meeting a heatleader. And the heat format meant you could end up with a hl quality rider at reserve racing only edr and 2nd strings. Yes we will, double figure scores from good reserves have always happened under the format that's being used again from next season. Riders at number seven have two easier heats, two and eight, also facing an opposition reserve in heat four and 12/14. They also don't meet the opposition number one during their programmed rides. Then there's the factor of taking additional rides for underperforming team mates and there's the chance for big hauls for some reserves under this format too. T.N.T.
Bradley Wilson Dean has joined Swindon as they mucked up their calculations on assessed averages for the New Dane and add the 1,4 conversion. One point is I think BWD will be another good signing on a decent average and like Klindt is another who could've been a good reserve and the other is a highly rated young Dane is now available on a 5.60 average. That would leave enough for Ashley Morris to be at reserve and Andersen at number two if making the bottom end more balanced would be a benefit. In Football terms its like having a 3-1-1-2-0 formation where as signing Skornicki or Musielak would be more 3-2-0-1-1. If you get my just 😊
Wolfsbane
If memory serves in either mb's or Steve's talk in reports CVS said something along the lines of 'waiting for developments at other tracks' before releasing the last 3 riders. He wouldn't have known about Swindon's 'issue' when he said that would he?

Perton Wolf
Wolves fans have only themselves to blame for te reason Klindt won't go back to wolves. And to add insult to injury he actually lives in Wolverhampton. It isn't that devestating of a loss to be honest. Would've been nice to have him on such a low average but I don't think any Wolves fan will be losing sleep over his decision. Tbh I think its because Nicolai wants to become an Elite league winner. No point joining Wolves considering they only win the title once in every 7 years. Haha - and what divine right do Poole have to win the league next season? Alright SGB Prem. Poole will be good enough btw. Easiest title we will ever win next season. Genuinely can't wait if you end up bottling it like last season.

foreverblue
WOW! I didn't realise I was this popular. Thanks for you're support. Joking aside. You best hope Poole don't win the league in 2017 because the amount of stick you're lot have been giving us it will come back to bite you on the backside twice as bad. You don't seem to realise i am a Poole fan!! My post was not directed at Poole fans in general just you! Nope, we all want Poole to lose just because you're Poole! Yep i knew that!
T.N.T.
What's with all the Poole comments. If I post on another teams thread its about that team not about what Wolves are doing or going to do. Poole are the Man City of Speedway where money comes first and everyone love's to see the big names fall. Wolves will be happy to be the Arsenal who have their season's but keep it cost effective and very entertaining to boot and long may it continue Patrick Hansen was excellent In the World U21 so if he is on a 7.00 he would be worth a shot and should be able to be a good second string.
