Wolves 2017

And many riders are past their best, doesn't make them bad riders or necessarily bad signings. I actually think Skornicki on 7.22(?) is bloody great value and I'm amazed he's not been snapped up!

Agree look at Rye house Nicholls,Harris,Watt and Robson all past their best yet people are saying what a good team they have. But in this league i m o they will all do a good job.Plus Anderson is no where near as good as he was yet in this league he will be a top man.He and Nicholls were the only 2 riders that i used to fear when Crump was our no1 they used to beat him on a regular basis round Kirky lane thats how good they both used to be.

Now for the hypocrite part and I quote get another GP rider on another ridiculous low average.

Its alright for Woffy to come in on a 7.00 average though isn't it fella?

Point proven.

Woffy had a REAL average of 7.03. Point proven. No hypocrisy.

Ain't going over old ground again as we know you are obsessed with Woffy bashing.

What is it with Poole trolls trying to dominate every thread?

move on and stop trolling.

What ever you say about us and bringing in woffy it's nothing compared to Poole who year in year out manipulate the system to gain advantage whilst year in year out our management have been too straight. Im sure that if you look at woffy's score card whilst with us latter psrt of last season his points tally wasn't that impressive. He saves his best bikes and effort for the GP's.

So try as you might to make us look bad there's only one in the league who manipulates the system. ...Matt Ford, he's the original

You started it by saying we was useless in the semi-final. What do you expect we was missing half a team?

Steve Shovlar's comment about Woffy is correct.

Whilst you are just talking rubbish again. And I quote

Talking about chopping and changing line ups I'm sure the master changers have plenty in the pocket ready before July. Klindt will be first replaced no doubt trying to get another GP rider on another ridiculous low average.

Holder on stand by I'd imagine.

MF didn't change the team last year when we had riders that were struggling. Chris Holder is going to Lynn or Somerset so how can he be on stand by.

Why do you try to dominate the Poole thread by bashing KK?

Dominate the Poole thread??

How many 'KK bashing' posts have I made this weekend on the Poole thread seeing as you claim I 'dominate' it???

Feel free to quote my domination.

Yet more lies .

Meanwhile you have made 4 trolling posts on the Wolves thread in 24 hrs.

Any coincidence that Poole posters have tried to take over the Wolves and Swindon threads this evening???? Sad sad sad.

So one ride in a play off final constitutes good away form!

Did I say that? I don't watch Wolves unless they are on Sky, I would have no clue what his away form is actually like. On 4.3 average having watched him on Sky I think he would be the best #7 in the league. Did Clegg not win the U18 & NL riders title last year? I'd say that shows potential.

then Skornicki may be a gamble but one that could pay off looking at some of the other strings lining up

Nail in the coffin for a team, that could have won the league but for stupid decisions.

How do you know he will be a no. 7? You commented on his pass at Belle Vue. If you saw my reply to superguest i said he was a no brainer for Wolves, for anyone else not so sure and Coventry have the best no. 7 currently.

So you keep saying regarding Skornicki but have given absolutely nothing to back this up other than your ridiculous assertion he is '15 years past his best'.

He would effectively be coming in on an average of just over 5 and would be riding as a second string all year long most likely. Not only that but the calming influence he brings to the team is a perfect replacement for PK.

Just caught up and just wanted to say thank you to stevebrum and mb1990 for the information report as it was very interesting.

I wish all clubs like the Wolves promotion did these meetings and were this honest and very open about club and general news.

I found the Chris Harris situation suprised me and I must say, there is probably more to it than meets the eye with the comments made.

So Sam Masters riding for Wolves does make the team look top heavy but class is permanent and reserves will improve and in terms of structure I prefer a hard hitting top 4-5 than a solid 7 at the start of the season.

Because if Wolves sign him as a #6, it is another mistake. Coventry may well have a higher averaged #7, but that riders has cost the 2-ish points more in team building terms, and that shows at the top end.

Skornicki had a good year, was it 2002? When ha averaged nearly 8. By 2004 he was little more than a strong reserve. He did a reasonable job as a second string when Wolves won the league in 2009. But only averaged 6.24. We're now 8 years further down the line. When did he last ride? Did he even ride in Poland last year?

Skornicki rode for Poole in 2008 and i have to say he was terrific, a real match winner more than once as well as being a really nice bloke. That was a while ago and haven't seen him ride lately so can't really comment on his current form.

The mistake Coventry has made is likely to be Sergeant, they should have got a lower average rider and built a stronger top end but with the issues Coventry have had, team building maybe not a priority.

I think you might need to do a little more research.

He last rode in the UK in 2014, he was No 1 for Birmingham.

Skornicki has been rock steady his entire career for Wolves with very little deviation in average, usually alternating between second string and 3rd heat leader in MUCH stronger leagues. Absolutely nothing like a 'strong reserve'.

Now he would be effectively on an average just over 5.00 in a far weaker league and spend most likely the entire year as a second string.

Surely it is just a simple process of elimination when it comes to Skornicki?

While he has had time away from the sport I don’t believe he will have regressed to a point that renders him incapable of beating riders like Kerr, Bjerre (L), Robson, Bellego, Grondal – all of whom have been signed in comparable positions to him, or have been asked to perform a similar role in their respective side – that is what Wolves will be using as the water mark surely, not how good he was 10 years ago

A signing that could turn out to be inspired in the new league format.

In 2004 Wolves lost the the play-off final to Poole. That year the team was Ermolenko, Max, Howe, Nermark, Skornicki, Carillo/Lindgren, Neath/Stead. Nermark got injured quite early so Wolves operated R/R for him all year. Lindgren & Skornicki spent the season swapping between 2nd string & reserve.

I can't even find a Polish 2nd Division average for Skornicki last season, did he even ride?
