Falcon Hammer
That's a good quote "before he got injured " so he didn't actually make the pass then? Would that be the same race he took himself and Sam Masters into the air fence It's a learning curve maybe just try and not attack the track so hard next time. Beat Kennett at House & took Morley from the back 2 or 3 times. Was a bit wild on his debut, but later was so smooth & stylish - you'll love watching him next year I promise
dj350z
I have just seen on FB that BV have signed Kenneth Bjerre. Its on the official BV website as well I am really pleased he has got fixed up for 2017. I thought that he was a really good signing in his average for Coventry so I will be very interested to see how he goes this season.
SteveLyric2
Sounds like Matt Ford is working hard to persuade his cohorts that 16.2.3 doesn't apply to team building figures. Fear is always a good motivator. 16.2.5 also states that the Team Building MA's are inclusive of any 'allowances'!! Not sure if Matt Ford has noticed - I'll be with him on Wednesday so I'll ask him! I don't have any issue one way or the other - just to see some consistency. Edited March 13, 2017 by Skidder1

If you truly want consistency the the only way it can be achieved is by a proper interpretation and application of the rules. Obviously the intent is that, when applicable, MA's should be calculated in accordance with 16.2.3,then published. If a mistake is made on the published list consistency is achieved by correcting the list not by identifying a mistake but doing nothing to put it right. Bagpuss
Bjerre is a great signing. I'm not sure that people who haven't seen Bewley and Smith ride appreciate just how good they could be. If Fricke is the last rider you really have to fancy Belle Vue to be there or thereabouts.

I've said in an earlier post that either the rule is wrongly written/interpreted or the average is wrongly listed. Whichever is correct I'm not sure if it affects any other team/rider?( I think at least one other line-up could be challenged based on the wording of a rule in the same section). I guess we'll know when the BSPA finally approve all the announced 1-7s
Shale Searcher
Someone mentioned earlier that Fricke might be having visa problems, can anyone elaborate as to the problem and confirm their source for this info?
mdmc82
Coventry's loss is Belle Vues gain if they sign Bjerre & King

Starman2006
Heard that his application was a tad late in being submitted. Perhaps like all the other Aussies, he should have been on the case the minute last season finished. Because even if BV didn't run he would have been snapped up by somebody. waiheke1
I really dont think that is the issue. So who would have sponsored it then in the absence of a management set up?

ouch
Sedgeman said, But Ive been working quite a bit with Terry and Wayne Russell, who were very helpful in getting my visa sorted, and Mark Lemon in particular, who comes from the same town as me in Aussie". I was told a month ago about Max's visa problems and they were on it then. If it takes the reported two months to sort then he should be ok for the start of the season. I dont think they want to announce him yet as we had our fingers burned a few years back with Travis Mcgown where we announced him but he never came. Looked a bit silly. superguest
All i can go off is what i have seen.Bewley and Smith are 2 of the finest young prospects i have ever seen. Both made their Nat league debuts last year Bewley just turned 17 in his home debut scored an 18 point max and has had a full season to improve since then.Smith rode at Belle vue 5 times last year twice for Brum and 3 times as a Belle vue guest his scores were 10+2, 13, 12+1, 13 and 16+1 both ride Belle vue very well.Time will tell how quickly they will improve but i think as the season goes along they will well hold their own around Belle vue and take some big scalps along the way.How will they perform away i dont know yet. but i think they will be the key to our season. The only thing i know for sure is that it will be a great joy for me to watch them progress over next season with both the Aces and the Colts. In the best interests of British speedway - these two lads are our biggest hope for the future. Along with JP-B at sheffield. Best of luck to them all! jimmy jimmy
If Fricke is really committed to the Premiership then I would prefer him, but with Sweden and Poland better pay days, and GP qualifiers and the U21's again (?), King could be a better option, although really don't like the fact that Ipswich have first call on him
Crazy robin
so if Sedgeman is such a bargain and much better than his average and we should all take notice of his Aussie form then why didn't Swindon sign him? Because he wasn't Adam Ellis's mate & was a No1 at the bottom of the league team🤔🤔
Col
Without doubt King is the better option, Fricke was pretty disgraceful last year. Being injured for Belle Vue but riding for Rospiggarna every week. You don't need riders like that. And when Fricke did turn up in the playoffs he didn't perform. You know what you get from Danny King.
