Aces51
It's all about how you finish, being fourth in the league can be just as good as first. There's a long way to go yet and you don't get many sides surviving a full season unchanged, even with the July rule coming in. I agree and of course injuries can play a big part but at the moment we can only look at teams as they are or, in the case of Belle Vue, what might be. I think our season could be determined by the progress made by our reserves. They are both outstanding prospects but we shall have to see how that is translated into points. I think they will need time to settle, particularly away but will both do their job and improve as the season goes on.
Sidney the robin
Personally , i would have prefered Szymon Wozniak over Bjerre , But its still a strong looking line up I prefer the Pole as well a new challenge for him at home he could be a real hit.
Aces51
I prefer the Pole as well a new challenge for him at home he could be a real hit.I agree he's got talent and is likely to improve but I think Bjerre as a second string is the best option. One of the few riders in the 8 plus band who can maintain or improve his average but of course he isn't signed yet. As a matter of principle I wouldn't sign any Pole until their authorities change their attitude to other leagues. Not just the stipulation about the number leagues riders can ride in but the way they have previously called riders back at short notice even for practice. We can manage without their riders and should do so until they start to cooperate with the rest of the speedway world. Gunner85
I am fairly sure that Mark said that he would be using British based riders this year when talking at the NSS last month .

Totally right Aces will the Pole miss meetings? i actually think Bjerre could do well he has good aquipment and is fast when he hits the front. From the back and as a racer after all of his injuries i am not to sure.As well myself i don't like the Bjerre/Batchelor type where they are hit/miss i would rather a steady Eddie type. Bjerre is British based i believe, and would be a great signing on his average...

Grachan
Good to see Sedgeman fixed up. He can be a bit hit or miss, but when he is on form he is excellent and I think Belle Vue will suit him. It will be interesting at the end of the year to compare the form of Justin and Bellego. What our Sport needs is reliability and consistancy. You just don't get that from the Poles. It is mostly not their fault but it is the fault of their Federation.
WestGorton1884
Im not sure how many meetings Wozniak missed for the Lions last year ? , But Fricke also missed a hell of a lot for the Aces , so its not just a Polish problem I just think a young Pole , on that track would be a revelation for the Aces , Edited March 11, 2017 by WestGorton1884
Aces51
Fricke mainly missed our re-arranged Wednesday meetings because his Danish fixtures on their original date had preference. That is a rule which applies for fixture clashes in leagues in different countries caused when a meeting is re-arranged and indeed for clashes here between Premiership and Championship clubs. The top Polish league is not only forcing riders to restrict how many teams they can sign for but also insisting that they ride for their Polish club whenever there is a clash.

My money would be on Justin as he knows the tracks unlike Bellego & most of the Robins riders. Glad Sedgy got fixed up after being left out for Adam's mate Bellego.
Robbobee
Aces just need to add Danny King and Richie Worrall to the five riders they have now and they will have a decent side although a little light at reserve maybe ? C Cook 9.83 J Sedgmen 7.60 S Worrall 8.47 R Worrall 8.49 D King 9.57 D Bewley 4.00 J Smith 2.00 Total : 49.96 ??
Bagpuss
You can't have three riders doubling up from the same Champs team.
SCB
Plus I'm sure sure, even if they could include him, why they would Richie Worrall. That's a staggeringly high average that he won't achieve.

John Scrutton
Should go for Danes or Aussies they don't usually let you down.
