SteveLyric2
Says championship aswell though Skidder. He rode in that last season (well PL last season) so qualifies for reduction. Yes I thought that too Woz. Its just a bit strange and confusing that any 2.5% reduction is not applied to the 'Team building' figures ie 4.00 in Bewley's case, that everyone is supposed to be using!? WestGorton1884
So is Bewleys average 4.00 or 3.90 ?
The White Knight
So is Bewleys average 4.00 or 3.90 ? It would be useful to know.................
Aces51
It seems fairly clear to me. He averaged 4 in the Premier League last year and rode in the NL so qualified for the 2.5% reduction.

Aces51
Speedway rules strange and confusing!! I thought that was deliberate for the benefit of Poole. 🤔 At least Buster is on the case. I know he promised a new simplified rule book for this year but he has had a busy winter. Maybe next year then. Edited March 10, 2017 by Aces51
Dandelion
I'd like to see 1. Matej Zagar 10.47 (Tai Woffinden - Never going to happen, fantasy xD But it makes an all Brit team) 2. Joe Jacobs/Kenneth Hansen/Lasse Bjerre 5.36/6.74/6.64 3. Richie Worrall 8.49 4. Steve Worrall 8.47 5. Craig Cook 9.82 6. Dan Bewley 3.90 7. Jack Smith 2.00 Very British and very good, even with Jacobs at 2 Edited March 10, 2017 by Dandelion
Gunner85
So is Bewleys average 4.00 or 3.90 ? On the BSPA Website , the team building average for Dan is 4.00
Daniel Smith
On the BSPA Website , the team building average for Dan is 4.00 But they don't take into consideration the NL 2.5% reduction. Dan Bewley is 3.90
SteveLyric2
...but it doesn't actually state that anywhere does it? If I've missed it somewhere please provide the link or the rule otherwise its simply supposition!? Does it affect any other rider.....? Aces51
The 2017 rules and regs 16.2.3 state that riders having ridden in the NDL will receive a 2.5% reduction in their MA only AFTER they have achieved their first proper Premiership average. For team building purposes the official BSPA list should be used which has Bewley on 4.00Skidder 1, you provided the link above but omitted that it also includes any rider who has achieved a Championship average of 4. I am assuming that references to the Premiership and Championship include averages achieved in the Elite and Premier leagues. Otherwise, nobody would qualify this year so the rule would be unnecessary. Of course a professionally drafted rule book would make clear that the references to the the Premiership and Championship included MA's achieved in the Elite and Premier. hyderd
coming together nicely, just Max and Demitri to announce and we'll have the team most hoped for. UMM that leaves us 1.93 short, change Demitri for KB and that then totals 49.94. Sorted. Edited March 11, 2017 by hyderd
Steve0
I had hoped Sedgmen would be back at Swindon because he can be a good, solid rider. He will be high in confidence from his winter in Aussie and I think he will have a great year this year riding for the Aces.
Panthers89
You have to sign Bjerre, he's made a come get me plea to sides etc and will genuinely make Belle Vue title contenders imo Edited March 11, 2017 by Panthers89

WestGorton1884
Personally , i would have prefered Szymon Wozniak over Bjerre , But its still a strong looking line up

Aces51
Jobs for the boys, Eh Lemmo?Cook, Worrall, Bewley, Smith, has he taken out British citizenship. 🤔 Sedgman is potentially an excellent signing on his current average and certainly could be one of the best second strings in the league. If we now get Fricke and Bjerre we are certainly a play off side with lots of potential for improvement as the season progresses. It's all about how you finish, being fourth in the league can be just as good as first. There's a long way to go yet and you don't get many sides surviving a full season unchanged, even with the July rule coming in.
