OveFundinFan
But aren't they the ones that fudged it up in the first place?? As far as Man City Council goes, the "fudge" was that DG/CM didnt pay the rent. The "fudge" MCC was responsible for was not delivering a track fit for purpose - ie they didnt manage the contractors that "fudged" bends 3 and 4. Oh, and a small matter of not building the back straight stand complete with loos etc.... thats not a small "fudge" either.
SCB
I think that is exactly the reason why the averages have been adjusted over the close season. It represents how close the top two leagues are now. I may well be wrong, but I really fancy a merger could be on the cards for 2018. You do realise the Premiership is still 25% stronger than the Championship right?
Halifaxtiger
You do realise the Premiership is still 25% stronger than the Championship right? It is, but that's probably the smallest gap its ever been. Its almost certainly one of the reasons why Somerset and Rye House moved up. Switch Ipswich/Peterborough and Belle Vue round and you have a regional split with the possibility of all teams at the same strength.

Daniel Smith
Tony Rice looks like a man with his hands in a lot of pies and certainly not short of capital. Robin Southwell isn't short of a bob or two either. Looks like the perfect match to take the Belle Vue project forward without any threats to it's future at all Only positives can come out of this and this pair will certainly rattle Ford's cage. Belle Vue are back Well done Buster in getting shot of the previous pair of calamity morons
Aces51
That would be the calamity morons who actually got the stadium built and who kept the Aces going despite the financial losses incurred during the years at the dog track. Without them there would be no stadium and no team to save. It will be interesting to find out just what constructive part Chapman has played in all of this. Rice and Southwell have connections to David Gordon so I suspect their involvement had nothing to do with Buster. SPD444
Can I assume that these people are acceptable to the BSPA if we throw in messrs lemon and machin or could there still be issues.

He has had to deal with chancers and promoters with either no money to promote or ability. At least now he has new promoters who should have unlimited funds and business accumen. Well I don't think he did with that Mr Sandhu from Brandon to be honest .. and the fall out from this is a big factor in why our sport is trundling down a rocky road at the mo !! Think back to 2010, he didn't seem to welcome the type of person you describe too well in those days. Talking about businessmen not house builders who Matt Ford saw straight through. Sandhu certainly didn't have the good of the sport at the forefront of his mind and Trump, his right hand man, well I think Matt was spot on with what he thought of him. These two are buying into the sport and not to build houses. My guess is they will get on just fine.

Oh, The alleged house builder who could blow Ford out of the water with finance, who knew how to promote his team, and played by the same rule book that Ford is still using . The very same person that got shafted big time ( twice) by your Mr Ford because he didn't want anyone around that might threaten his mission for supremacy.

Its because its the last time anything happened there of note. Distant memory for us Poole fans. Belle Vue are back Well done Buster in getting shot of the previous pair of calamity morons You'd think DG would have washed his hands with this sport after the way Buster behaved and the massive losses he's had in getting the jewel in speedways somewhat tarnished crown up and running. He brought these guys into the sport to be part of his team and he see them finally at the helm following his retirement. Looks like his executive seat will kept warm for him, where he can survey his achievement every week without all the nonsense chipping away at him. Cheers sir, and if you can find it in your heart to forgive and forget we'd all like to see you replicate this and get new stadiums up and running finally in all these towns and cities sadly currently lost to the sport.
Tsunami
All I can say is thank god Mr prompt and decisive finally backed down and agreed to DG's mates taking over. You don't get it do you. Buster on behalf of the BSPA has/had to make decisions for the good of speedway and Belle Vue. A lot in the BSPA were not impressed with the happenings at BV, and in particular one person. Remember that some promotions refused to sell tickets for the British Final because of what they knew. Buster had to be involved at the end to assist the process, and if in fact two of Gordon's mates were/are the main men, it is no wonder he might have doubts. Without Buster, nothing could have happened at Belle Vue, and it is the BSPA that issue licences to people about a certain criteria.

Would you say that the two proposed new owners will get or have already got the nod from the BSPA or could there still be a sting in the tail. Ah yes the famous winter of discontent. The time when the most fans agree that the sport took a massive turn for the worse. Proven by the current situation the sport finds itself in, yet you think it should be all forgotten. Well I've got news for you , it won't be.
