Belle Vue 2017

Recommended Posts

I'm hoping for a well balanced team ,

Fricke missed a lot of meetings last year , so not sure Aces should be looking elsewhere ?

Maybe Zagar will be too expensive ?

Jacobs , while good at home rarely scored well away ,

I'd personally like to see Dimitri Berge given a team spot , on 6.90 average he could be a great acquisition .

I have 0 interest in the politics that surrounds the survival of the Aces and speedway continuing a the NSA. Ace's fans you are getting Cooke & the Worrall's on their PL averages, plus Fricke it seems. Good luck building a team around that base. You will be better than Swindon & Somerset at least, and massacre Rye House & Poole at home.

I can see why you think they will bat Rye House easily at home but ive no idea why you think they will massacre Poole??

Certain clubs go well at certain tracks.

Over 2 legs Poole would struggle against Wolves and maybe Rye House, but against Belle Vue and Lynn it would be close.

Not sure i understand your thought process

Which is exactly the rider clubs need. Win at home and 95% of your fan base will be happy. Anything you do away is a bonus. Get the home wins in. It's stupid winning 3 or 4 away meetings but losing 4 or 5 at home.

I agree no 5 + average rider will score what jacobs will do on a regular basis at Belle vue,and any other 5 + average rider will not score to well away either so if we need a 5 point rider for the team then Jacobs would be my pick. But if we have nearly 7 points left i would give Berge a try.

most fans would pretty much agree with that post gavan, pretty certain all would at least understand it,why starman believes it requires a sarcastic and meaningless reply is once again bewildering

Ask him about all his sarcastic remarks whenever i put a post up, or trolls round the forum to find me. But nevermind eh..Im actually very pleased that BV are running, but Coventry could still be a problem.

Ideally , I'd prefer riders to score well home and away ........_

So you don't agree with Gavan then and think Poole will get hammered at Belle Vue.

Interesting.

More importantly, fantastic news that Belle Vue will be running next year, thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the NSS last year and look forward to getting along again this.

Not sure why people expect 'news' over this holiday period?? Its highly likely that if further negotiations are still ongoing that not all the participants are available to continue until the new year!!

Just to add to the rumour mill - I heard that ex-BSPA Vice Chair Jon Cook might be overseeing the new promotion which might still include Mr Carswell?!

I wonder how close the above post might be??!!

I heard its all change at BV with a completely new face. A proper businessman with a proven track record running major companies.

That's a worry. Two weeks of dealing with the corrupt 'old boys' club at BSPA towers and he'll be running for the hills.

Many a sane man has fallen foul of speedway and its quirks.
