SPEEDY69
Belle Vue have had a very successful season, top of the league. Therefore, I fail to see why some riders should be ditched unless it's necessary due to their wishes or to fit into the required team average. They have all played their part, including the manager and the balance of the team has been good. I see no value in 7 riders who are great at NSS but shocking at the away tracks, you'll finish mid-table. Jacobs for example has been excellent at NSS but is hopeless around many of the away tracks but that's where other riders compensate. I do agree with others about Zagar being hit and miss and he doesn't have the best record in Heat 1 but there again, Steve Worrall has helped compensate. Some untried Pole may do ok but if they were all that good they'd have had more than one world champion in the last xx years!! (and that's even with having multiple GP rounds at home). Little Thumper
The Lady on the Till post lol Wow! So the lady in the Sue Ryder shop was spreading malicious rumours and making false statements which could be prejudicial to the financial interests and reputation of Belle Vue Speedway Ltd? I've always found the staff very helpful in there but in future, I shall watch what i am saying - don't want people gossiping and spreading spurious rumours.
Col
WHAT about the cost, allegedly he is the highest paid rider in the UK and one that, unlike Doyle for example, is very hit and miss for a number one. If he is that expensive then I would agree. You would need Cook or Fricke to be able to beat the best riders in the world - well Doyle, Lindgren, Holder & Iversen when it mattered. Do you think they are capable. Or do you just go strength in depth.
KIRKYLANE
As much as I admire Matej as a brilliant racer when on form , he has been very inconsistent this year .. even for Gorzow , his Polish club. You need a number 1 who is going to do the business week in week out ... I accept all top riders will have an occasional off par performance. Both Matej and N, K Iversen have had a poor run in the SGP this year until the last two when suddenly both back to their brilliant best !!! As long as Belle Vue have a competitive team that will get them to the play offs , I don't mind whether Matej is in or out of the team. SUPERACE
Sorry for my ineptitude, but which post answers my question? You asked how I now ouch is post is nonsense, well seeing as it was a tongue in cheek post then I think the answer is clear. But surely any post that suggests belle Vue buy beer for £6.00 and sell it for £3.00 is clearly nonsense

SCB
Hearing some pretty awful rumours right now. Belle Vue really need to put out a statement saying they're running next season and the club and it's promoters have no financial problems. Belle Vue really need to put out a statement saying they're running next season and the club and it's promoters have no financial problems. If true that would be a hell of a loss to speedway and also a kick in the teeth for Manchester Council who have provided a stadium that may not be used. Speedway all over the country would lose out and its reputation would plummet lower than it is at the moment.

Belle Vue really need to put out a statement saying they're running next season and the club and it's promoters have no financial problems. I don't know what rumours you have heard of from whom, but as I understand the position from the horses mouth ( well one of the horses anyway) part of the problem involves some of the wider issues in Speedwáy. If that's correct then it seems sensible to what and see what transpires at the AGM next month, when we will know what structure the league takes and who is lining up for it. If a club had to issue a statement every time there was a rumour on the BSF they would be issuing one every other day.
