Rosco clearly never picked Ellis because he rides for Swindon because he pucked him last year too, when he didn't ride for Swindon.

He clearly believes in Ellis going from how pleased he was to sign him after Poole released him.

The wisdom of not having Lambert at reserve is clearly something open for discussion, but I would think the theory is to go with your best 4 and work on the basis that nobody needs replacing in any races.

Two teams

A

Cook 8.22

Worrall 6.69

Harris 8.15

Lambert 7.70

Ellis ® 3.70

Total 34.46

Versus

B

Cook 8.22

Worrall 6.69

Harris 8.15

King or Nicholls 6.16/7.13

Lambert ® 7.70

Total 36.92/37.89

Impossible I know but which team would win the most times out of 10 meetings if they could ride head to head?

Especially considering you can bring a reserve in tactically as and when you need to up to five times..

In team B's case, on his home track!!

Maybe Rosco could go first with his answer?

Would he deliberately choose to go into a Premiership match with a team nearly 3.5 points less than the opponents? 😨

Conversely you could say Rosco picked Ellis last year hoping that come the day Ellis needs to move he would favour Roscos team and move to Swindon, which he did so now gets a reward.

Everyone on the forum could be GB team manager (only one at a time please), pick the team and a could chance the majority would disagree. Tough being a manager. Hes made the call, its the results that matter now.

I think Australia will declare and go home early.

Our only chance is the others can't see for tears of laughter.

It's obvious whether you like him or not Woffinden's only problem seems to be with Rossiter, and now it appears most of the GB supporters feel the same way.

Lambert has a broken wrist and neck pain after a crash at Newcastle last night.

He still intends to race the SWC.

Personally, the decision imo should be taken out of his hands and be replaced by Danny King.

I reckon he did it because there is the chance that Robert wouldn't actually get a ride as reserve, but deserves his place in the team proper as such. Rider psychology?

The only way Robert wouldn't get a ride at reserve would be if the 4 were cleaning up. It's just an awful call

And this highlights the bad decision. Lambert could have been at reserve and one ride may have been enough to show if he was race fit or not. Can't take that risk now with Ellis at reserve, but could have with king in the team.
