spanner47
Never saw that coming, but amazing what you can do with right guests. As an Ippo fan, the team I most feared meeting was Newcastle, hopefully Sheffield can find a few guests that love Ashfield too.
mikebaker
Lambert missing meetings at the business time, proves costly for the Diamonds. Think Newcastle were most peoples favourites to win the play-offs. Well done Sheffield Select. Edited October 2, 2016 by simmo1958
JCookie
Well done Sheff. Got to be the side to beat moving forward now with being able to pick and choose guests. Poor Stead and Garrity missing this, get well soon both...

spin king
Don't expect too much response from Sheffield fans with season ticket at the moment. They are rummaging through their bins trying to find their season tickets.

Endeavour
Well done Sheffield. As mentioned previously guests could decide the title. I had taken Newcastle to win but Lamberts absence tonight has possibly cost them play off semi place. If Glasgow keep their team injury free looks like their title. Terrace Grumbler
Okay, I'll play the curmudgeon( of no one else will come out and say some things that need to be said about tonight's meeting, I will do it. When Sheffield last visited Brough Park they stank the place out. Their team tonight bore no relation to that one and was not in any sense the Sheffield team. If you ever wonder why this sport is on its knees, look no further than nights like tonight. For Roy to say that this was like one of the great nights of Speedway in the past beggars belief - this was an artificial meeting which produced an artificial result. Right now my daughter is telling me that she doesn't want to come back because in Speedway, cheating is okay ( we are both season ticket holder is, as are my son and stepson). Perhaps some of the members of the "the riders are all heroes and can do no wrong" and "there is no alternative to guests" brigades would help me with convincing her to come with me next week. Go on, I'm listening.
topsoil
Really did not see this result coming, Newcastle were finishing the season very strongly and I thought they would go deep into the playoffs. Lambert's absence costs them in the League Cup and now in the Playoffs as well. Never an ideal situation when guests influence the outcome of Playoffs, in a good or bad way, but that's what we have. Blackadder
Flying bacon sandwiches tomorrow. Well done Tigers Select, especially Kyle. Hope he is back next year.
4thbender
Anyone know what sauce goes best on a hat... 'cos now I've got to EAT IT! This result is just breathtaking. The team that beat us by 34 points in the KOC and then held us to a draw at Owlerton in the return leg suddenly shows itself to be vulnerable just when it matters most. Unbelievable. Newcastle fans must be gutted.I guess this means we now meet Glasgow in the semis. Who'd have thought it?
lucifer sam
Yep, shock result, it looks like the reserved date for the semi-final at Sheffield is this coming Thursday. It will be interesting to see what Sheffield can do against Glasgow. All the best Rob
Gazc
Well done Sheffield. As mentioned previously guests could decide the title. I had taken Newcastle to win but Lamberts absence tonight has possibly cost them play off semi place. If Glasgow keep their team injury free looks like their title. We still have Somerset to ride at least another once so that scenario is highly unlikely.
