Wolfsbane
On a slight tangent, once again tonight Sky apologised for ' strong language' when no one swore. Interview with Richie Worrall....they must just assume people swear as he didn't. If anything it draws attention to it so its counter productive...but when there IS no swearing its plain daft No one who watches live sport worries that they might hear swearing, it comes with the territory. In fact I'd be disappointed if I didn't. Sky are trying to protect themselves from the professionally offended, they just end up sound like dicks. SUPERACE
Firstly congratulations to Wolves on winning the title. The Aces just left themselves too much too do. What a superb meeting that was we are so lucky to have a stadium and track like that. The crowd was simply huge and the atmosphere was electric, just a great advert for speedway. Roll on 2017 and lets have another crack at it.
MrwulfAndrew
Congrats boys, deserved it! Finishing top of the table means nothing, accept it. No rules broken with the tai change and won fair and square. Happy days!
foreverblue
Lindgren has been doing that all season and not just in league racing. He's becoming a very dirty rider in his old age. Not dirty just hard and he lifted which didn't help. Worrall came right across on Woffinden in his tac ride. damosuzuki
Such a shame for belle vue, I agree that a trophy/shield for topping the table should be introduced. Although no rules were broken I do think it must be hard to take for belle vue, old fashioned in that the table toppers are champions in my view. Bringing in a world champion as a second string was genius but not on the rider they dumped. Great meeting though and much better racing than Monday.. This always means one thing though after the play off final....... Winter FEAR NOT Premier play offs not even had the Semis yet. Cup final Sunday fingers crossed. Somerset,Glasgow Ipswich and Sheffield still battling it out!
Gavan
Tai used the phrase 'some idiots' not all fans. What ever happened to good old bit of stick from the crowds to the riders and vice versa?? Belle Vue fans gave Woffy pelters and they were right to when their riders beat the World Champion like the Cook/Zagar 5-1 or when Richie Worrall did. So when Tai sealed the league he was quite right to give it back.........some people on here will find any reason to have a pop at Tai. Regards Lindgren he does tend to go a bit over the top lately. He was very hard on Cook and if you watch heat 15 he looked for Fricke and literally just left him no room on the back straight. Their was an amazing atmosphere there tonight what with the Woffy stuff and Cook and Lindgren plus some great racing. Its what the sport needs and what it so badly misses at times. Yet still people moan about Tai this and Tai that..............enjoy the spectacle instead of looking for anything to moan about

Just don't think Woffinden is particularly likeable....not that you SHOULD like everyone he just never comes across well

KEITH M
Some people on here lead exciting lives.. Just counted one person who was ""neutral" posted 37 times ( yes I am sad for counting) during the course of the meeting telling us all what we were watching anyway 😉
LisaColette
Tai Woffinden - two times world champion and British - a great rider and I fully support him. Ha ha ha ha, he might be a great rider but attitude is worse than a teenagers! Such a shame he won't be able to ride in the Aus GP, with his head being bigger than the country and all.. 😌
Phil The Ace
Well done wolves. Best team over with legs and deserve to be winners The tai stuff was good banter. It's what was needed in speedway. A good 20 man punch up at pit gate was brilliant to to. Added to the whole night for me. Great racing once again. Unlucky boys. Let's give it another shot last year. 2016 over and out Edited October 5, 2016 by Phil The Ace

Yet still people moan about Tai this and Tai that..............enjoy the spectacle instead of looking for anything to moan about I agree the sport needs a bit of attitude, Lindgren was the best rider on the night and left Cook no room but it is a play off final, nobody is moaning about Worrall giving Tai no room in his tac ride. Fans giving riders stick and riders giving it back is a good thing.Belle Vue took it to them but like Poole at Wolves in the semi, crucial heat 12 when a 5-1 was expected and Clegg came up trumps with a clever cut back when Worrall tried to take him wide. Belle Vue fans will be disappointed but they have a fantastic track to watch every week and should be happy with their teams effort. Well done wolves. LisaColette
Excuse me?? Don't brand me Gavan with that brush!! All teams are in it to win, if they arnt there is no point turning up. Wolves got it right this year with the change. Gavan just clutching at straws as usual.

Great meeting yet again at the NSS. So lucky to be able to watch this kind of racing week in week out. Not seen the TV footage, but watching live, I thought that Freddie was hard on Cook, but Zagar gave it back to him on Lap 4. Cookie was wound up, so reacted, whilst Freddie accepted Matej's move. Hard racing - yes, but it was a final, so that's what we should hope for. We lost it on Monday, plain and simple. Hopefully we will regroup and come back stronger. Aces are on the rise again. foreverblue
Just like to add it is a fitting tribute to PK in finishing his career in Britain. He rode his socks off tonight and scored vital points . A true gentleman of the sport and a nicer person i have yet to meet.
Fromafar
Nothing wrong with that move. In the wrong game if he cant take that!I agree Cook would not survive i a GP environment these moves are commonplace ,acted in the heat of the moment which maybe is understandable ,but after they met again in heat 15 acted like a pratt after the race again just before they went to get their medals and was going to kick off again till Gordon intervened.Total plonker in my book.

Trevor
Amazing meeting, great atmosphere, shame about the result. Loved the passion of Cook. Silly comments from Tai, good banter from the crowd.
keepturningleft
Is there a track anywhere in the world better than Belle Vue? Have to say it's very difficult to like Woffinden, he is simply obnoxious. Can you imagine Collins, Loram, Craven getting booed, anywhere, ever?
