foreverblue
Understandable, but you have to keep the faith. Belle Vue need to be on it and hit Wolves hard from the start, all 7 riders are capable of scoring. If Zagar and Worrall kick of with a 5-1, you could easily follow that up in Heat 2 and it's suddenly game on. Any Wolves fans thinking this is over are very wrong. A lot can happen in 15 heats. Really looking forward to my first visit to the stadium. You won't be disappointed a great place to watch speedway. I think Adams would have been happy with a 6 point lead and you have treble that. The pressure is off Belle Vue now as nobody expects them to pull it back so that may help them and fully expect them to come out all guns blazing but the fat lady is clearing her throat. Really looking forward to my first visit to the stadium. I was there for the SWC meetings earlier this season, you won`t be disappointed, great stadium, great facilities. IMO Belle Vue made a mess of things last night and I can`t see anyway Wolves being as bad at the NSS tomorrow night,
Ovalman
A shame for neutrals who wanted a thriller. Its like opening a beautifully wrapped Christmas present and finding socks and pants inside. A container of Hai-Karate talc would be worse
Aces51
I don't believe in all this defeatist talk. It's going to be difficult, Lindgren and Woffinden do well at the NSS and Howarth seems at last to have found some form but it is not impossible. We have more experience of the new track than we did when Wolves last visited, still not the sort of home advantage we faced at Monmore but every single Ace is more than capable of scoring significantly more than they did last night. Fricke and Jacobs alone could add a combined extra 15/16 points to their total and I can't see any rider scoring less than they did at Wolves. We have nothing to lose, everybody will be fired up, there will be a massive crowd urging them on and it can be done.
Shale Searcher
Yes but these are Tesco value ones!! It's like opening a big Christmas present, only to find another smaller box, eventually you get to an envelope, with a £50 gift voucher for................. POUNDLAND!!! SteveLyric2
So the main grandstand is sold out for Wednesday. I wonder if all the seats will be taken after last night's disappointment?! Well done to the Wolves, proving that the Aces and the Pirates both have similar problems at Monmore!! It looks like my 'start of season' bet on BV will come to nothing. Shame it wasn't one of those 'cash-out now' deals!!
stevebrum
Well done to the Wolves, proving that the Aces and the Pirates both have similar problems at Monmore!! Except when they win there of course. The Pirates have won several times at Monmore in the past 6 years likewise the Aces have an excellent record at the Green too. It seems only when teams lose heavy there they suddenly have these problems with the track. rather convenient don't you think?
Ace no.5
I think BV's best shot at this will be to be leading by 6 or 8 after 10 heats. Cook and Fricke then bag a heat advantage against PK and Freddie. Can't use tac at this point. A 5-1 in heat 12 reserve race would put us within touching distance... Steve Shovlar
A complete anti climax for the neutral fan. No matter how much hope BV fans have of pulling it back is Bob Hope or no hope. And Bob has left the building. A pretty boring first leg full of gate and go or a mistake from a BV rider allowing the dialled in Wolves team to clear off did not thrill the neutral. In fact, was last night the most boring playoff final meeting on record? Wolves fans will of course be lapping it up but I thought it was dire entertainment. Cant blame Wolves riders though. Basically the championship has been won by the team with the biggest home advantage. Commiserations to BV. A decent effort. Hooefully this winter will see things happening to allow you to be there ir thereabouts again.

We are usually strongest in the last 3 heats but a reserve race 5-1 is possible for BV. Don't expect Clegg to get much but hopefully Howarth can keep his good form going. This neutral fan is looking forward to it hugely. 10 points would have been better but its not impossible that the Aces will run close. I also know a few Sheffield fans who now believe in miracles.

If the Aces are going to pull this back we need either a sensational start which see wolves using a tactical in heat 5 or as you say 8 points up going in heat 11 then bang in at least a 5-1 and a 4-2 from 11 and 12. Unfortunately though at Steve said its all hope, and we are all clutching at straws.
Ace no.5
It's all we've got left! Sport can be sensational and throw all sorts of curveballs out there. Look, Leicester won the Premier League!
Steve Shovlar
The only chance is for something like Woofinden to bump into Thorsell and both will be ruled out with concussion on their first ride. But even that probably wouldn't be enough and no one would want that to happen anyway.

Beowulf
As a Wolves fan, I'm not counting any chickens. I'm not expecting many points from Karlsson and Clegg. So I hope Howarth has learnt to ride the place......................................................................
