Steve Shovlar
Surely if it is your business you sell your product at a price you chose. I personally think it's not right but as Matt Ford is the owner it's up to him. Prices have remained the same five years on the bounce. Poole is cheaper than some second division clubs.
g13webb
Thinking of those posters with views of children's admission costs, Just Thinking....For every adult who chooses to not to go because of excessive costing (Man and Child £21.00) Poole will need to attract 4 paying youngsters, just to compensate, each adult who stays away. Seems to me this pricing structure will cost Poole more, than it will gain..... Edited March 16, 2017 by GRW123

I agree with skidder though, every track will have different demographics and if Poole are getting kids through the door by charging what they do then there's no problem. That may change in the future though and the key is to react when required.

But perhaps as he said will do things in the holiday.
SteveLyric2
Poole's crowds have remained fairly strong with the same pricing over the past 5 years. As MF said at the forum last night the Leicester meeting last year was promoted strongly with Free and heavily reduced admission prices. The crowd that night was 3200 including most Poole Councillors and the Mayor, but Matt lost money on the meeting and the crowd was not sustained in following weeks!! That might say more about Leicester than Poole but all promoters must be mindful of their business first and foremost. Costs including rider wages etc do not reduce when admission charges are reduced.

And riders should not be allowed on twitter starting with Chris Holder!

LisaColette
4-5000.Okay i thought it was a lot when it was said, but wasn't sure what the norm was for clubs who don't break even.

poolebolton
i thought he said he took £19k Your right. He lost money on the meeting but Matt made profit on the year. He could make huge profit if he didn't invest in more assets. That why he wants the main team Sponsor because that is simply used for assets. Poole have very cheap travel cost's. Kyle, James, Jack and KK all live within an 30 mins of Poole. Hans seems to spend a lot of time in the UK as well.
