Crazy robin
Greedy promotors who won't be around in 10 years when these fans of the future are nowhere to be seen & the average fan of today is propping up daisies. Starman2006
All kids in education should be free with a paying adult. Thats a fair point but you get all clubs to impliment it.

And if the kids pester their parents to take them then the extra ticket sales to the parents is the bonus, then hopefully later the youngsters . ray c
I've always thought Poole is the most expensive children's entrance price anyway Matt ford don't do nothing for children.shame really just my opinion
ouch
Under 12's free at Belle Vue. Under 19's pay £7.
Crazy robin
And if the kids pester their parents to take them then the extra ticket sales to the parents is the bonus, then hopefully later the youngsters . 100% correct & how I got started as a young boy going with my mum & 3 mates. Then 10 years later we went together & I drove my mum. We all still go 35 years later & I think Swindon have had the money back & loads more.
Catalan
Perhaps Matt might consider children sometime when he's driving around in his multi thousand pounds car with a number place ......5P33DWAY. That don't come cheap. None of my business I know but when it comes to what he's charging youngsters (5 year olds £10) it don't encourage me anymore. My 16 year old son who is not allowed by law to work and yet he is expected to pay adult price this season is a flocking joke. I am on a disability and will struggle to pay for him it's a disgrace. WestGorton1884
So Poole actually charge under 10 year olds money to get in ? Do other teams have a similar policy? Edited March 15, 2017 by WestGorton1884
BluPanther
So Poole actually charge under 10 year olds money to get in ? Do other teams have a similar policy? Under 10's free at Peterborough, £4 at ipswich if you are 6-15. Anyone that charges under 10's to get in is deluded, greedy or both imo. When the grandchildren are in residence i take them to Boro rather than Ippo on principle. I should imagine many adults who can take or leave speedway, are more likely to give it a miss if six year old's are being charged to get in...
Woz01
Now you have to stay in some sort of education until you're 18 the price for 16-18 year olds should be £5 max. I went straight to full time work at 16, my daughter who is 15 at the moment wouldn't be allowed and with studying I doubt she would work more than one day a week. Agreed,It's disgraceful charging under 10s Belle Vue it's under 11 free Then 12 to 18 £7 Still think that's too much for 12 / 13 yr olds The sport should be doing more to attract younger fans

Shameful if true - BUT ITS NOT IS IT?! Under 5s are FREE; 5-10s are £4; 11-15s - £7; Students 16 and over - £12.; OAPs/Concessions - £14. Adults - £17. Every club has its own demographics in its own local area and should be able to set its own prices accordingly - it is a business after all. I note some clubs are charging £18 per adult!! I know I shall probably be going out on a limb here, but I don't actually believe that future attendances should be relying on getting kids in Free. Many clubs have and do try this but has it worked consistently - NO. I think the key target audience should be the 18-25 (or even 30) age group - ie those with some spending power who need to be attracted to spend their dosh at the speedway, on a regular basis, through much better use of social media and incentives at colleges and Universities There I've said it now. I'm at uni and they are missing a massive market. Simply at Bournemouth Uni put on a trip and pay for the coaches there and back or agree a deal with the Uni which could be done very easily.
Sidney the robin
Agreed , neither have , but they're only young . Don't think Garrity will ever be world champion But hes a young exciting rider ( maybe a little wild at times ) who gives 100% every race , To say he "Never made the grade" at this stage of his career is ridiculous . I am a big fan of Auty but i have to say S.Worrall, Garrity are the top BRITS at there level at the moment.

The fact, you say, Poole are charging 6 yr old kids £4.00 entrance is a disgrace. and you wonder why crowds are not turning up... If I had to pay to bring my young grandkids with me, then I would stay away. No doubt there would be others who feel the same .... I don't see why there isn't an enforced admission fee set in stone by the BSPA at the start of each season, so every club would charged the same. Extra insensitive should be directed to families environment offering Man and Wife with children under 12 a set fee: (£35.00 family ticket approx.), All children under 12 to be accompanied by an adult go free; All adults (including OAP's) £15.00; Children ( 13 to 16) and students) £10.00; These are approximate figures based on the understanding that children under 12 shouldn't be left on the own...... Home or away.....

Coventry has two big universities with 55,000 students between them (and expanding). They did a student offer for £5 but not sure it was promoted, a huge market there! waiheke1
I have kids aged 6 and 8, and if there was a speedway track near me I would happily pay 4 quid each for them - very reasonable imo. Go to the zoo, or a kids concert, and you pay a lot more than that for them. Agree with those who suggest targetting unis, especially those where the bar profits go to the club. Charge a fiver entry,or ten quid and first pint free to get them into the bar.

Granted some are if the child is paid into a membership scheme but then receive free tickets.
