Col
anyway hasn't the precedent been set with those missing now set as a 7. Milik and Madsen are similar level to Lindback. How exactly? Lindback was in the top 8 of the World Championship at the time he replaced Andersen. Milik and Madsen have never competed except as the Wild Card in such an event. Milik should return on his average attained at Kings Lynn last season, Madsen has not ridden in Britain for 5 years or more, has never been a GP rider and only rode in the SWC because Hans Neilsen is stubborn. Re-assessing his average to 7 would be harsh.

If we were still using the previous method of assessments (GP rider or swedish or Polish 1st teamers) then both Lindback and Madsen would be an 8 so what's the sudden difference . How often has Lindback qualified for the GP without being wildcarded? Emil isn't a GP rider so is Lindback better than him too? ? We know not all the best riders are in the GP. Madsen could quite easily have been wildcarded if his face fitted at the time. Either way he is still a world class rider.
Steve Shovlar
Why on earth are people banging on about Milik being re-assessed? He already has a legit average from last year for gods sake! If he should be re-assessed then so should every rider. People should get off their anti Poole horse. If he was being signed by any other team it wouldn't even be an issue and would be praised as a good signing. Bagpuss
There needs to be a cut off for reassessment. I would say two years ie anyone who rode here in 2015 comes in on what they finished on that season, if it was prior to that then their figure needs looking at. If two whole seasons have been missed then use averages in other leagues to reassess to a realistic figure if necessary. Far as I'm aware there is one and it's 3 years.

When Milik rode briefly for Lynn in 2015, it was done as a CMA reducing exercise and bared little or no resemblance to the quality he undoubtedly is. Watching him ride abroad, he is a far better rider than his average portrays and for this reason should he decide to ride here again should be reassessed to the standard he is.... We want to rid our league of ringers for good.... How can we keep riders CMA for yrs when our league format has constantly changed?

Every rider should be reassessed if they did not ride here in 2016. The plus side of that for poole is that janowski would shave about a point off his average.Tbh I'd be ok with it being extended back to 15 IF a published average for every to rider is made at the beginning of the season. It's probably the same reason people were banging on about Woffy coming back on his 'real' average. If Woffy was a ringer as you liked to call him then so would Milik also be a ringer. no doubt you will now say it's different . It won't be.

LisaColette
it is if he want's to ride in the ukI meant the 'hopes to return to Poole' bit. Sounds like if Matt doesn't think riders are committed enough they won't be in the team. Can't decide if I would rather have KK or not. heathen chemistry
'ringers' are how the league is won... and they can command bigger wages cuz they know they are in such high demand from a numba of clubs, but which club is better equipped to pay ?

LisaColette
Why would you want KK if Poland continues with their stance of any Polish rider having to have Poland as a priorityThat happens already. Every rider should be putting their home country league club first if there are clashes.
foreverblue
Poland have always told their riders their priorities, just now it is written down and riders have to agree to it. The problem now is that foreign riders have to make Poland their priority too if they want to ride in the Polish league.
