foreverblue
Paul Starke scored 14 tonight at Redcar, maybe the right decision after all
Pirate Nick
SGBP averages effective Monday 10th July - Â Brady Kurtz 8.76 Hans Andersen 8.31 Jack Holder 6.11 Nicolai Klindt 6.00 Paul Starke 4.83 James Shanes 2.35 Â KK 9.23 GZ 7.79 Taken from the Poole website a quote from Matt Ford. Â This was not a decision I ideally would have wanted to make and I insist that this is not the end of the road for Kyle here at Poole. It is as much about looking at the forthcoming weeks and the minimising risks. Kyle has not had the best of fortunes since returning from his start-of-season injury and his average is dropping because of it. He will shortly be on a figure that would offer us very little cover if he were to be unavailable for any reason and the time-scales for changes are even more restrictive this year than previously." Â So as of Monday Paul Starke is 4.83. Kyle Newman is 5.26. Seems like Ford has even less cover now. Somebody didn't do their homework.
waiheke1
Bit surely the issue was that Newman has been averaging around 3.5. So once he got a "real" average based only on 2017 he would not have been able to be covered adequately.
poolebolton
Don't look at averages! Look at the scores they have got. And right now Starke is looking much better than Newman. 14 points last night and done well for Poole so far! hagonshocker
Seems like a few Poole fans can't wait to see Klindt dropped
Gavan
Seems like a few Poole fans can't wait to see Klindt dropped It was all said at the start of the season....sign him on a low average ........watch it increase and then cast him aside for someone else. Klindt would have gone with or without the injury. Â The only issue is that he hasnt really increased it by that much
ray c
Seems like a few Poole fans can't wait to see Klindt dropped i am not one who wants to see him dropped long gone are the days when teams kept there 1/7 all season except through injuries Edited July 7, 2017 by ray c
LisaColette
I would be slightly gutted if Nic got dropped, but hey it's not my decision.
foreverblue
if thats the case then we should have kept kyle and replaced klindt with starke Yep exactly what I said at the time but maybe now we can replace Klindt with a much better rider than Newman. It was all said at the start of the season....sign him on a low average ........watch it increase and then cast him aside for someone else. Klindt would have gone with or without the injury. Â The only issue is that he hasnt really increased it by that much Disagree I don't think he would be dropped if he wasn't injured or carrying an injury especially as prior to injury he was scoring quite well. SteveLyric2
The only reason there is talk of replacing Klindt is because of his injuries. Â Its no good turning up to just ride, if you can't race and score the sort of points that your average suggests should be achieveable in at least every home meeting!! Â With the new averages, r/r for Klindt would only give Holder, Starke and Shanes the extra rides, and with still some uncertainty over what KK will score, that leaves us too weak for the run-in, without some changes - imo! Imo opinion the way Klindt is atm those three would score more points. But in the long term something will have to be done.
