Joe Beevers
See what i have highlighted? Then please go back over the posts on the thread and highlight where i 'have screamed' about his average please. Hans Andersen has an average of 10.01 My original post was i believe he will lose nearly 2 points off of that average. Gater1 disagreed with me and in his words said he would maintain his average 'no sweat' I highlighted that last season he averaged 7.15 from second string and top 5 combined so how on earth could he improve to 10.01 Gater1 backtracked and said ' no 10 points a meeting' I then told him that 10 from 5 rides is an 8ish average so i was correct in saying he will lose 2 points. Gater1 then said he was talking about 7.15 starting average not 10.01 We were talking about 2 different starting averages (though i have no idea why anyone would use 7.15 ) Not sure why you feel the need to get involved It feels like a scream because you know those arguments you have with your wife or boss or perhaps both as one, where you state the same pointless guess and because you don't agree it gets louder and louder just so you can get your point across. That's what it felt like to me when reading the posts. You have just highlighted my point of the Oh no he won't and Oh yes he will argument in your postings. It's not really a debate if your not using facts. You can state past history and averages to the cows come home but you are still guessing that he will or won't get the average, so that was the reason I posted to state I found your post funny when you stated you were having an intellectual debate. Each to their own with sense of humour.
SteveLyric2
Post of the year for me and it nearly had me in tears. Join the debate about Hans' average! What debate? You screaming at Gater saying 'Oh no he won't get that average over my dead body' etc. 'Oh yes he will' 'Oh no he won't' And then you turn around and say why don't you debate with me if you have the intellect too. Careful you don't burst a vessel debating so intellectually and who knows, you may even get an invitational post from College Uxbridge to go on University Challenge. Specialist subject - anything remotely to do with Poole!! Oops sorry that's Mastermind!! Can't possibly understand how I got those confused?!
DunRobin
My, My, you are a touchy lot down at Poole. You are allowed a pop at other teams but the minute there's a word about Poole, it's all "Poole Haters"!

SCB
Regarding Ellis, I would have thought he could have had an exemption of the 1.4 increase on the basis that he rode in the National League last year. They could easily make this a general rule rather than a rule specific to one rider. Clegg rode NL, can he ride EL on his EL average using your rules? and Joe Jacobs? Ellis has a 7.5ish average, do you not think he'd have achieved that in the PL last season anyway?

You have got to really wonder how much lower our sport can go when a rider that was competing in the NL can come into the EL with a heat leader average the following season. Is 7.8 really a hl average? It's only a fraction over the average 7.14 per rider allowed for team buidling, so I'd be inclined to say it is a 2nd string average. Ellis is a better rider than Newman and i would have thought Ellis would have achieve over 7 with ease in the premier You have got to really wonder how much lower our sport can go when a rider that was competing in the NL can come into the EL with a heat leader average the following season. Let me just edit your post You really have to wonder how much lower our sport can go when a rider that was competing in the EL can come into the EL with a heat leader average the following season There that looks much better. That frankly says more about last season NL eligibility rules than it does the EL this season.

Bagpuss
All those points Ellis scored in Poole's top five last season are obviously a figment of our collective imaginations. Sidney the robin
For me an iffy signing in Hans was worried Swindon might have him back his best days are well behind him.Wouldnt it be better to have Chris,Jack,Kurtz,Ellis,Newman and try and pick a couple of improvers lower down the order the signing of Andersen would hardly inspire me chuffed that you have done it though. Yes his best days are behind him but he still has a lot to offer and will be solid backup for......lol
stevebrum
Happy with the Hans signing nice bloke and brings a lot to the team. Where has it been confirmed he is definetly back? Paddy The Rebel
Managed to come up with an improved team using realistic names and not riders like Klindt who should line up for Wolves. 1. Krzysztof Kasprzak 2. Kyle Newman 3. Brady Kurtz 4. Jack Holder 5. Hans Andersen 6. Adrian Cyfer 7. Ellis Perks fits within 50.00 Think that could well be the team I'd be happy with that.
