Daytripper
Link? No link required, Buster said it wasn't happening at the last EL meeting at King's Lynn during an interview Buster may have said the EDR is being scrapped but that's not quite the way Jon Cook phrased it. Buster is known to shoot from the hip but we haven't had the AGM yet. My understanding is they cant afford to scrap it. Its possible we might find that its dressed up in different clothes (I don't know about that) but underneath it will still likely be some form of costs saving syastem
ray c
if kyle remains reserve next year it will be fords biggest ever fiddle in the history of ford fiddles... matt may also sign 5 riders with a higher average than kyle so he will be reserve at the start of the season no fiddles all by the rule book
LagutaRacingFan
You can't make up an average on the basis of rides against other draft riders. His PL average is reflective of his ability over a whole season against similar quality riders. I suspect Poole may help Newman with his bikes for EL fixtures as that's the only reason I can think of which explains his poor PL form when in comparison to his EL performances and obvious ability. Crazy robin
matt may also sign 5 riders with a higher average than kyle so he will be reserve at the start of the season no fiddles all by the rule book It's what average Kyle & the rest of the reserves are given that is the problem & needs to be consistent going forward. How do the likes of Steve Worrall, Richie, Gartity & others average so much higher than Kyle in the Premier League??.
Fromafar
If he is reserve next year all it will do is confirm to those that think he has no ambition that he hasntHe place in any Team is nothing to do him, anytime I have seen him he gives it his best effort,to say he has no ambition is a joke IMO . Game On
Garrity chose not to be in the EDR list, couldn't Kyle have done the same? Yes but has no balls or ambition and does what he's told by MF, there's a god boy.
Steve0
This isn't a pop at Newman (who was excellent over the two legs) but how come he was a reserve for most of the year and then puts in a performance like that over the 2 legs of the playoffs. He did the same last year too. Maybe they should call him Playoff Newman because he certainly shone last night at Monmore.
dorset delight
Yes but has no balls or ambition and does what he's told by MF, there's a god boy. If only Garrity had done the same your season wouldn't have been over by May
Perton Wolf
Well done Kyle. However, it's a bloody joke that he's at Reserve.
Steve Shovlar
Well done Kyle. However, it's a bloody joke that he's at Reserve. Why? He is number 7 in the averages for Poole. Ellis and Newman two lowest averages.
waiheke1
It's bollocks that staying at reserve showed a lack of ambition, when the rule change meant reserves were elegible to move up to ream proper. What happened was that Ellis improved more than probably anyone expected, keeping Newman at reserve - any other team and Kyle would have spent prolonged periods in the main body of the team. Garrity chose not to be in the EDR list, couldn't Kyle have done the same? And that basically ended Coventrys season. Whereas had Garritty agreed to start the season at reserve, he would still have spent most of the season in the main body of the team. And bates/sergeant wouldn't have had confidence dented by having to ride meetings in the main body. I'd suggest Newman had a slightly disappointing season, but was superb in the play offs.
Starman2006
Well done Kyle, yet again he shows that come the play offs he is ready to perform at the highest level. Hopefully the whole draft system will be binned in the winter and he'll have no choice but to continue his development into the main body of the team. He has the ability to be a 1-5 rider for sure and that should be his aim. Its always been his aim mate..

markyb
To me, as a fan, the most important thing is being entertained and seeing a rider trying his hardest to achieve something. Kyle deserves all the praise he is receiving for that fact alone. If he enjoying his speedway and life in general, then well done that man - would be welcomed at any club as reserve/draft throughout the Elite - only wish he was a Coventry rider !!! Steve0
Its always been his aim mate.. You finished licking your wounds yet? Just to put it into context - it was only a speedway meeting and hopefully it has brought you back down to earth.
