Wolves Vs Belle Vue, Grand Final 1st Leg, 3/10/16...

Ace no.5

Recommended Posts

Fantastic day so the track should be spot on tonight !! From 1-7 the aces line up have had their moments round monmore so i will take 48-42 this evening !! Bring it on .........

I suspect wolves will want a bigger lead than that. 6 points would be advantage Belle Vue imo

Going against the grain here are a few facts.

It's considerable cheaper to run speedway at the NSS when compared to the dog track.

We now have the highest attendances in British speedway with an average of 2500 without taking into account the 6000 on Wednesday.

We now keeps all bar, food and parking revenue.

In 2014 we had 14 nights of speedway due to running two double headers. Average crowds were around the EL norm of 1000.

2014

1000 x £17* x 14 = £238k plus extra for double headers = £245k

2016 (EL only and not taking into account monies from Colts, shared events and SWC and income streams mentioned above)

2500 x £19* x 15 = £712.5k

Wednesday will be

6000 x 19 = £114k

Total is near to £600k up on 2014 but with cheaper operating costs.

Just to play devils advocate. If you want to half our figures and take off £150k for the Craven fiasco then we're up only £206k

Hope it helps.

*Average of Adults, concessions & kids.

To the poster who said the stadium is half empty every meeting, it's not as that would be 3000. We are not averaging that - yet.

Always the same in big stadiums where fans are spread around. The only reason why no-one mentions Wolves is because everyone is packed into the same bit, otherwise it seems to be fair game ~ especially when matches are on Sky ~ to say how small the crowd is.

The original business case for the NSS was based on crowds of 2,000, the stadium being only a third full.

Obviously hoping for an Aces win tonight. I think that will be a tall order with Wolves home advantages but I will be happy losing by 8 or less. Any more than that and we shall have a struggle but this Belle Vue team has the spirit and tenacity to to fight back when necessary.

Where has the rumour that BV are going ** up come from have they bitten off more they can chew??

The first reference I heard came from Dorset.

The big advantage Belle Vue have is that Scotty Nicholls goes really well there.

Am hoping for a Belle Vue win, I didn`t think it was right when Wolves brought in Woffenden . They put a good bloke who had served them well all season out of work for the sake of rider who only wanted to top up his bank balance.

Don't worry. Mr Shouty and Contact Kelv will just adopt Plan B. That is constantly shouting "Wuffy, Wuffy Wuffy...."

With any luck it will "let the crowd bring him home", at least then we get a couple of seconds break from the shoutiness.

More sure than most of the rumors yes. Trust me Belle vue will be running next season.

Whoa, whoa,

Where did I mention Belle Vue not running next season? I was merely commenting about the club's ££££ situation, and if it could afford the same type of team next year.... I mean, £2,000 just to unload a van is steep for the BEL....

Cloth cutting, to the amount of cloth available, not the other way round..
