robert72
Riders getting soft again, also not sure why they have dirt deflectors at the price they cost if they are not effective on wet tracks.

Apart from namby-pamby sports like tennis and cricket, there can't be any other sport which is so vulnerable to the vagaries of the British weather. Cricket and tennis have got bucket loads of money, so they are probably not too bothered. And if the worst comes to the worst, they can always put Cliff Richard up to belt out some of his chart toppers to entertain the snobsters. Shale has had it's day and it's time someone devised a better racing surface.

IronScorpion
Dirt deflectors keep the spray down low. Just the same as mud flaps on cars. They can't protect the sides of the car but protects most of it.

Woz01
Why is that? Is the pay better in Sweden? As the BV is now rearranged the Swedish fixture takes priority.

screm
Why is that? Is the pay better in Sweden? Belle Vue v Lakeside has now become a rearranged fixture so his meeting in Sweden will take priority. Riders getting soft again, also not sure why they have dirt deflectors at the price they cost if they are not effective on wet tracks. Can we take it then that you have seen the track.
