Belle Vue V Lakeside 2nd Leg September 26

Recommended Posts

Harris at Belle Vue certainly weakens Lakeside as its his worst track by far.

The Hammers look like they have surrendered already

Just seen the website now updated. Hardly surrendering, he is about the most expensive rider to get in, so hardly first choice. They must be scraping the bottom of the barrel though. No explanation on the website of course of why KK is suddenly not coming. A lot of Lakeside fans now complaining they can't rely on anything Jon Cook says and this isn't helping.

Maybe Lakeside is where Bomber is heading next year and they are giving him a try out now (yes I was joking ).

What a shambles.

I wouldn't worry about Harris, given the unfortunate, sudden knee injury Bjarne picked up Ford will have a word with his mate Cook and before you know it Lakeside will release Harris to ride for Poole.

In reality it matters not a jot who we get at No. 1 vis-a-vis the final outcome but it is a slap in the face for Aces fans. Other than attending to applaud their team for their victory at Arena, there does not seem much point for them in terms of a competitive match.

Which was always going to be the case when they made the playoffs

Fair point though you have to give credit to Belle Vue on the performance in the first leg that has turned the second leg into a formality.

Nuff said.

Next time you suggest an injured rider might suffer from epilepsy the next time he has a bang on the head just add a footnote that you don't have a bleedin clue what you're talking about and we can move on.

Whatever this is, it isn't just a 'bang on the head'. If it was Bewley would be riding again.

I saw the crash and it was horrible. Moreover, I had a first hand account of how he was afterwards and he had all the signs of concussion. According to a recent article in an Edinburgh newspaper, Bewley is still having CT scans and is having a problem with balance.

Phil might have been a bit over pessimistic with his comments but given that is a number of weeks after the crash, there is cause for concern.

Of course there's cause for concern!

I had read the reports myself. He first said "Don't count out Bewley ever riding again from what I Hear" and before I asked you suggested he needs to elaborate what would be devastating news.

He then told us about epilepsy in relation to your question!!

He is well known for trying to make out he is somehow itk on Belle Vue matters and I was keen to find out where this had come from, but he is also well known for being a bullrubbishter. Forgive me for asking where it came from, I was relieved but also a bit irked that the " Don't count out Bewley ever riding again " and "epilepsy" had just come from his tiny mind.

He tried to laugh it off but I didn't find it funny (why would it be funny?) and he just decided to be a cock again when he answered.

I think its absolutely fine to show concern but scaremongering over a riders health is a bit sick imo.

WOW

There is a sort of precedent for that . A couple of seasons ago Lakeside against Birmingham or Kings Lynn, can't remember which, Kevin Doolan turned up not knowing who he was riding for , having apparently been booked, unbooked then re-booked by both teams or something like that. Lakeside eventually had him and the others had r/r.

Sorry to hear about Bjarnes knee injury. Let's hope it's nothing long term and he makes a speedy recovery

To be honest, I think supporters must groan whenever we are in town!

We are about as enticing as an unflushed toilet.

Undoubtedly, on the road, we are the new Eastbourne.

Answers for the common denominator please. ;)

Two trick tracks with riders picked one dimensionally simple on their sole ability to ride their home circuit?..

And.....?

Well there is one other link....😀
