salty
BUT the most influential voice on the MC is Chris van Straaten, who basically sanctioned a move that could potentially harm his own team's chances of reaching the final. Not sure Matt Ford can be blamed for that. But the other promoters have plenty of form for sanctioning things that favour Poole. The decision to use Premier averages from last season allowed Poole to get a much stronger reserve pairing than if the more logical elite averages were used. But then CVS managed to net Kyle Howarth as a reserve so maybe there was some horse trading there. Buzz off the heat leader list massively favoured Poole and again its hard to see how the other promoters could fail to see how illogical that decision was. Add the Lindback average farce and you have 3 massive decisions that have helped Poole this season alone. Conclusion has to be that the other promoters aren't that bright (possible) or they have reason to keep on the right side of the Dark Lord of Dorset (more likely). Either way, it's decisions like this that mean I don't bother with domestic Speedway any more.
WestGorton1884
So at the beginning of this new era for the Belle Vue Aces at the NSS, ive managed to get a few friends interested in the sport , who wouldn't usually bother. Now as the season reaches its climax , im asked to explain why the Aces main rivals for the title are allowed to dfaft in two GP riders just in time for the play offs ? ." Its like City or United getting Messi for the title run in because Barcelona have finished their season " was one comment , " what a s*** sport " was another . Im not blaming Poole or Wolves , They've done nothing wrong , but surely this can't be good for the sport in this country? , i know at least 4 people who may or may not come back next year . So for the good of the sport lets hope its a Belle Vue win this year Edited September 22, 2016 by WestGorton1884
waiheke1
It's not that long ago of course that transfers in football were permitted at any time in the season, and city or united could do exactly that. And I emergency loan facility was removed only this season.

robert72
Would that be the same Chris Van Straaten with a big brown envelope full of £50 notes? The same CVS who has been in charge of making the sport what it is today

'Relatively' , is that better ? its so difficult typing on a PS4 , thats my excuse anyway , yes they knew they were GP riders due to BT TV coverage , what they didnt realise was certain Elite league teams could draft them in at the Eleventh hour of a league campaign that started in March !! Starman2006
Dont understand your point ? , yes they knew they were GP riders due to BT TV coverage , what they didnt realise was certain Elite league teams could draft them in at the Eleventh hour of a league campaign that started in March !! There is a window of opportunity before the play off's, we covered for an injury, which is well documented. Wolves chucked an inform rider out for Tai. Red Flag
Wish CVS Would leave management committee and just concentrate on Wolves, he always tries to do the right thing for speedway in general mostly at our expense, would Ford have approved Antonio on a 7 to another club?
