BUT the most influential voice on the MC is Chris van Straaten, who basically sanctioned a move that could potentially harm his own team's chances of reaching the final. Not sure Matt Ford can be blamed for that.

I wasn't aware I blamed Matt Ford. He was only asking the questions. The full blame lies totally with MC.

One has to ask the logic of their thinking and the damages it does to other clubs. No I don't blame Matt Ford at all. I just wish the other members of the BSPA were as bright and imaginative as he is....... Sure makes a mockery of fair play though...

Would that be the same Chris Van Straaten who had just signed the Workd Champion on a bargain average ? Wow what a coincidence that would be !

If I were Matt Ford my case would state:

  1. Heat leader averages are now lower than when the 8pt "rule" was first used.
  2. Being a GP rider doesn't make you automatically good on British tracks. Plenty of successful international riders have came to Britain and struggled to beat some very average EL riders.
  3. Antonio has been out of British league racing for 10 years.
  4. The current world champion is on a 7.03 average.
  5. He's joining the league at a time where he will only be able to face the top 2 teams, whom have all have a full season worth of practice and track knowledge behind them.

I think that's a pretty fair case for a 7pt average.

Oh, and what did Antonio score last night? :P

Van straiten for what ever reasons has always sanctioned everything that Fords have ever wanted ...it's does not seem to matter that it affects his team chances .the question that everyone asks each time it happens is why ?

Learn to spell first.. :nono:
