Sheffield 2017

So, just curios. If Josh G is riding for us, will Somerset use an equivalent guest, or will they bring in a NL rider to even up the teams.

Would the fans like to see the Tigers matched against a proper higher league team, or would they prefer it a more even contest with Somerset using NL guest?

Hopefully Josh G for us and a guest to his average for Somerset, lets see how we can go against a full team

Article on the Somerset website about the meeting. Josh rides for us in this one, but Somerset normally get priority on his services and Somerset will bring in a reserve for the meeting so both teams should be fairly evenly matched.

so we have a challenge match against another championship team, would have hoped we could pit our team against a premership team to see how strong we are

Q and A session tonight, main information to come out from the session.

Kyle Howarth to be the captain of the team for 2017.

On the rider doubling up situation it would appear that Sheffield have the priority over all the riders doubling up with the exception of Josh Grajczonek, and it would appear that the only fixtures he will miss will be meetings at Edinburgh.

Sheffield to follow the blueprint that Glasgow run meetings not entirely sure what that means maybe some from Glasgow can maybe elaborate.

Riding orders not yet decided.

And the big one is that for the first match of the season the challenge match against Somerset, entry will be free to everyone.

Delighted that Kyle has been made captain, he was brilliant both on the track and in the pits when given the role during the playoffs last season.

Fantastic gesture from the club for the first meeting of the season to be free. Hopefully will garner some good coverage from the press and pack out the terraces.

yes.what a breath of fresh air the promotion are turning out to be.they certainly deserve all credit for this gesture and hope that more people fill the terraces.am now in my 40th year of watching speedway and can honestly say that i have probably never looked forward to a season as much as this one.roll on tapes up.well done sheffield

What a great gesture by the promoter's. not only the first meeting free, but special offer's throughout the season. They deserve to be successful. With the team we have assembled i think we are going to have a great year. Roll on the 30th.
