KevH
If that's the case, I wonder if Leicester may get it.... With the track re-modelling, might be the ideal location! Pretty much bang centre of the UK.... Does Leicester hold an FIM License?
Shale Searcher
Does Leicester hold an FIM License? I think so, we did have one, we had FIM u 21 meetings, I mc examine at Leicester, checks are far more robust under FIM, fuel, bike weight, race apparel, silencers, all tested to a higher degree....
Dickie Head
Let's be honest here. A prestige international meeting should be staged at the very best venue that is approved and available. With the very best will in the world, the new Swindon track will only cover the basics at best so to avoid embarrassment / criticism the U.K. authorities should make representations to the FIM now and get the venue reallocated. I'm sure some folks will have already made travel plans - by relocating now there is an opportunity to make changes without too much upheaval. Indeed you did.....I'd forgotten about that U21 meeting. Hoowever, there will be track alterations over the next few weeks..........will that not need another FIM inspection prior to further meetings being allocated? Crazy robin
Honesty has always been hard for the Swindon promotors & why they've continued to treat their fans like idiots is very poor. Mike Bowden even said recently the new track was on schedule so yet more lies.

As far as I'm aware, the fence isn't being moved, in fact we only re-staked the kickboards 2 weeks ago!! The levels levelled, and kerbs on 1 & 2 being altered.. It will need re-measuring for length, but that's all will need clerically altering.

A ORLOV
So it seems that the planning restrictions on the number of properties that can either be built or sold must now have been exceeded. Mind you it might be that by moving in one digger, a couple of cabins and building a gabion wall might be seen as a start if the planners max number of houses was conditioned on the starting of the stadium build. If that is the case the planners are not too clever, which being Swindon Council would not surprise me. How safe is the condition that the existing stadium cannot be demolished until the new one is up and running?

hyabb17
I have no idea what you are on about & I'm a Town fan. I did a quick search & he was meant to be involved in 2007. I've drank too much since then to even recall his involvement. read what the football fans think of him Edited February 20, 2017 by hyabb17

A ORLOV
A bit like the Poole stand which must be a health & safety risk?. Aren't Stadia UK looking to redesign Poole Stadium next, so they should be keeping a close eye on what is happening here.
