Swindon 2017

Recommended Posts

I think that for the 2nd biggest team in the UK in terms of everything put together in speedway and having the GB manger. Swindon can't build teams. Great to show respect to a GB rider in Ellis but that doesn't win you titles. Wolves last year were ruthless and they won. Rosco needs to pick a more balanced team as well. Love Doyle, but Swindon should have looked at Hampel for example just for those extra 3.5 points. I feel like top 4 riders will be good and bottom 3 awful. And your bottom riders need to be JPB or Smith. We have Shanes which is one of the top 3 young UK riders and you need one of the others I feel.

Who says that Swindon (or anyone else) will finish with their starting lineup?

The Premiership 'averages' are only artificial. Guys like Doyle won't be expecting to get near their average.

People are taking the term 'average' far too literally with the new averages.

The riders too, which is crazy, why don't their promoters explain it to them?

Assuming we keep Nick Morris (& on his average I doubt the ruthless Matt Ford would, but we probably will) it's a straight choice between a strong top 5/weak reserve or a weaker top 5/stronger reserve, e.g.

Doyle, Bellego, Ellis, Batchelor, Morris, Bacon/Smith, Wajknecht or

Doyle, Roynon, Ellis, Bellego, Morris, Bacon/Smith, Wilson-Dean

Batchelor in for me!

Or

Doyle, Bellego, Ellis, Klindt, Morris, Bacon/Smith, Dan Bewley

Unless Batch makes a major apology to the fans it is likely he would not be welcome.

He wouldn't have the wisdom or the sincerity to deliver the apology mate. And in any case, he's in decline, goes missing when it matters and when it rains, he just as well not bother.

Sorry for asking, but will the new track be up and running for the new season ?

It has been claimed it may be ready by about May or June but who knows, so we may start in the present stadium then move to the new one, or delay the start of the home meetings.

Wasnt talking about KK!! You mentioned Hampel who i was saying was flakey!!

And yes ask anyone down the pub who isnt a speedway fan to name a club and i would imagine a majority would say Belle Vue. Still the biggest club in stature in the UK irrelevent of their finances and lack of trophys.

You keep giving us a laugh..:rofl:
