Swindon 2017

Recommended Posts

Regardless of the Final result been a very good season, finishing top, record 17 wins in row, the 3 wins at Poole where they had not won for 8 years, Doyley probably world champ, Lee Kilby bringing in new sponsors, and the crowds flocking back to The Shabbey.

Started off in doom and gloom in April and May, second from bottom, defeats, poor crowds, bad news over new stadium build. All those blank Thursdays.

Seems Mike Bowden has stepped down due to ill health.

Good future ahead for the club.

Well done Rosco and all the riders.

Hopefully Swindon arrange a meeting next Thursday to show off the Trophy and maybe Doyle being World Champ. What about a Challenge against some of the 2012 team. Hans, Killer and Batch team managed by Steady maybe add Zengi Or Worrall or Wright plus a couple at reserve ( Davey, Williamson or Sarjeant).

Wow, what a season. Touted as wooden spoon contenders at the start of the season to then go on that amazing winning streak of 17 matches with 8 Away wins & to be the first team to turn a deficit from your home first leg around! No one can take that away from us! Proud is an understatement! All the management, riders, mechanics, support staff deserve a massive pat on the back!

Congratulation to the Swindon Robins Premier league Champions & worthy winners.

Now for your reward!

A new Stadium or no Stadium? Answers please CLARKE OSBOURNE.

I see the Swindon North MP is stating that the Council and Stadia are close to agreeing a drainage redesign re the stadium, which is the final hurdle, well we wait and see if it is or if this is more bull excretia.

Dinner Dance at Blunsdon House, Sat.21st Oct. Tickets 40 quid a pop, everyone but Jase will be there.

First time we've attended. Normally get 200-250 there.

Still no news on presentation of trophy to the 3000 Robins not at Wolves.

Edit...next Thursday 19th. trophy presentation at The Abbey, 7.15, all bar Doyley, well done Swindon speedway.

Anyone would think they're building on a swamp or something, more stalling by the serial stadium closer.

Building company told they need to lose 2 houses to put right on present plans.

No way will that happen so expect new planning application to go in & hold up the new stadium even more😡😡
